Body
Hazel is a young almiraj (bunnycorn) with a short stature when standing on his two hind legs. He has hazelnut brown fur, save for a few splotches on his back, which are black, and his stomach and the tip of his tail, which are white. He has floppy ears, chocolate brown eyes, a large tuft of fur around his head, and a single cream-colored horn growing out of his forehead.

After witnessing Luz and Bijou's "deaths", Hazel took a high-powered form in his rage. His horn became smoother, his fur became streamlined and darker, and his eyes started to glow white.
In the epilogue of "Watching and Dreaming", Hazel has grown significantly reaching up to a few centimeters below King's height when standing. He has sleeker fur, particularly on his hind legs and stomach. His tail becomes slightly more fluffier. His horn has become longer.

Due to being a beast, Hazel wears practically nothing.
In "Enchanting Grom Fight", Hazel wears a black bowtie.
In the episode "Separate Tides", Hazel is seen wearing a beige and white neckerchief that Bijou made for him.
In the epilogue of "Watching and Dreaming", Hazel still wears the neckerchief Bijou made for him, the only difference is that it is slightly faded.
Personality: Hazel appears to be friendly and quite mature for his age, always understanding people's emotions, akin to real-life pets (rabbits included). He is very loyal to his friends and family, often showing concern when they get themselves involved in serious situations.
He and King initially clash against each other as the former hates the latter's superiority complex. Over time, the two beasts eventually find common ground in the form of seeking company due to their understanding of each other's origins.

Powers and Abilities:
1. Jumping ability: Being based on rabbits, Hazel can jump. Unlike normal rabbits, though, Hazel can jump higher than 2 feet, as he is able to reach onto Bijou's shoulders and the topmost portion of a bookshelf.
2. Horn proficiency: Hazel uses his horn to ram through thick objects, as it is 5 times stronger than steel.
3. Heightened sense of hearing and smell: Hazel is able to discern subtle scents and sounds, as shown in "Witches Before Wizards", where he sniffs out Luz's scent and voice and follows it to track down her location.
4. Healing magic: Inspired by the healing properties of unicorn horns, Hazel can use his horn to heal sick and injured people. When doing this, his horn glows dark blue.
5. Empowered form: Under intense emotions, Hazel can enter a more bestial form that is sleeker than his normal state, showing glowing white eyes, a smoother horn, and a streamlined and darker body. Hazel assumes this form after witnessing Luz and Bijou's apparent deaths.
6. Writing: Despite not having thumbs, Hazel can write, albeit by using both of his front paws.
7. Cooking: Hazel was taught by Eda on how to cook meals for himself or when the latter isn't around.

- Hazel is named after the rabbit of the same name from the novel Watership Down.

- His love for vegetables and fruits references them being food of choice for rabbits.
- While most almirajes are solitary creatures, preferring to stay close to their kind, Hazel appears to interact with other species, like humans, witches, and all sorts of demons besides his own without any problems.
- In "Watching and Dreaming", Hazel is the official mascot of University of Wild Magic.
- Hazel's (would-be) voice actor, Johnny Yong Bosch, once starred together with Bijou Adams's (would-be) actress, Marieve Herington in Ajin: Demi-Human, where they voiced siblings Kei and Eriko Nagai, respectively.
