I placed the flower that I had in my hand on my mums grave and started walking back to my house. When I got back to my house, my brother was waiting outside, a worried look on his face. "What's up Jimmy?" I asked.
"Everything's gone."
"What!" I shouted.
"It wasn't my fault," Jimmy said trembling. "I have no idea how it happened. I just went to put the rubbish out and when I came inside, everything had disappeared."

I just stood there. I didn't know what to do. Normally I would go and look for the thing that I'd lost but I couldn't do it this time because I didn't know who had taken it or where it had gone. For a moment I thought that I was dreaming or that my Ming was playing tricks on me. I pinched myself but I didn't wake up. That meant that this was all real. God, if my mum was alive now I would be in so much trouble.

Four hours later I was sat in my bedroom (that couldn't really be called a bedroom because it didn't have a bed in it) trying to come up with a logical explanation for what had happened. So far, I had nothing. I tried to come up with a way of solving the problem but, I didn't have an idea. I guess I'd just have to do what I've done before. Go to sleep and wake up the next day hoping that I'd forgotten about what had happened. However, I got
the strange feeling that I was never going to forget this. I also had the strange feeling that somebody had taken our stuff for a reason. A reason that I was going to find out.
