As I lay in the snow i think about home. Mom left when i was nine, Dad stuck around but the more i see him the more i wish he didnt. He gets drunk if something doesnt go his way, when hes drunk, hes angry, when hes angry, hes reckless.
My little sister doesnt need to be around him when hes like that. Im almost raising her at this point, and while taking care of her Im taking care of my dad unless uncle and auntie come over. Their my family so its ok.. It really affects my mental health though...
Lincoln comes back and lays by me in the snow. "What are you thinking about?" He asks as he watches the clouds. "Just thinking about some family stuff i guess." I say and yawn.
"Coffee?" Lincoln asks and looks at me. "You really like coffee huh? I dont have my wallet on m-" Lincoln cuts me off. "Ill pay for you." He says before getting up and brushing snow off himself then extending his hand towards me in a invitation to help me up. I take his hand.
