(Kyle x Nick POV)

The awaiting ride on the roller coaster is finally here. Nick carefully watches their group (not really). Ash is having a satisfactory smile, that guy must have got what he wanted. Meanwhile, Karlyle is silent.

All of a sudden, Ash turns to Karlyle and whispers something into his ear. Nick's eyes squint, these two are so lovey dovey. And at that moment, Nick sees it. He can't believe it. He has seen "that" expression of Karlyle Frost. Nick immediately turns away. He needs his adorable, small, lovely and beautiful husband.

Kyle is clasping his lips and looking at him, so cute. He isn't sure, but Kyle has been triggered by something. After another group, finally it's their turn. They sit in pairs, one in front and one behind. Right when the over-the-shoulder bar is down, Kyle grabs his hand. His blue eyes are filled with anticipation.

"Nick, hold my hand if you're scared."

Hmmm, Kyle..... Though it isn't a secret....

Nick is a sucker for thrilled rides like this.

People tend to avoid things that they are scared of. Why does Kyle think Nick is scared? However, Kyle seems to be looking forward to Nick relying on him. This is difficult. Nick is originally a fan of these rides. When he chose law major, his reason was very simple. He just wanted a job that he could do well, a meaningful job like his father (his dad was a policeman). It's also much more interesting than other jobs. Hmm, is it? He poured his heart out when he played as a midfielder, and when he had sex....

His thoughts are drifting back to private matters again. Anyway, Nick loves thrilling rides like the roller coaster. But if he says that, Kyle will be very disappointed.

"How did you know? Okay. Hold my hand tight." Nick says to Kyle. His eyes blink with absolutely no signs of fear.

"Uhm, trust me."

Kyle seems to believe his bluff, he gently reassures him. How adorable. Nick decides to keep his bluff one more time. The roller coaster starts moving. He can hear shouts around him, this slope will be a scary one. Although he's screaming internally in anticipation of a frightening drop that is about to come, he keeps acting scared.

"What would happen if this bar fell off?"

Be honest. Everyone must have had this imagination at least once when they were small. When Nick was a student, he was traumatized by the death at the amusement park in the movie "Final Destination".

"What?" Kyle gasps.

"Do you remember the case we were once in charge of? The roller coaster accident in Scotland."

Well, this bar falling off is kind of an impossible scenario. What he's imagining is that what if the bar wasn't in a good condition due to bad maintenance. Even if there were no accidents or injuries, the insurance money would still be a huge amount. Kyle turns pale at his question.

"What if this bar fell off and I died...." Nick continues.

"Nick, don't say that.....!"

Kyle is about to burst into tears, as if he was saying his last words. But Kyle doesn't get to finish his sentence. The roller coaster drops. Kyle grips his hand like a manacle to give him strength. His grip is brusingly strong, as if Nick is really going to fall out.

Two minutes go by in the blink of an eye. Only two minutes and Nick has turned and went in loops several times. Finally, the ride ends. My goodness, this is amazing. Nick can't hide his laugh. It has been so long since he last rode such a blood rushing ride, he can play this at least three more times. He has the VIP ticket, playing another hour is no big deal....
