LACEY TOWNSHIP HIGH, NJ — thursday afternoon
"I THINK WE HAVE TO ADD THE BLUE VIAL NOW." Jack was explaining the next step in our chemistry experiment but if I was being honest, I wasn't paying attention.
Why you ask? Because my dumbass was still pined over yesterday's events, more specifically the event where Connor had tended to my minor injuries. And by minor, I mean literally minor, as in a small bruise that quickly cleared away after a few hours.
Yet the action alone of his tenderly checking my wrist regardless was enough for it to occupy my entire mind for 3 days straight.
"Ana!" "What?!" I jolted myself awake at the sound of Jack's yelled voice, followed by his frustrated expression as I turned to face him. "I said! We should add in the blue vial now."
"Oh yeah, okay.." I picked up a random vial and began pouring it inside of the test beaker before I was quickly stopped by Jack after pouring half the vial in.
"Wait Ana, that's not the blue vial—!"
BOOM. A big red puff of smoke erupted from the beaker, quickly followed by a huge bang as the sound filled the air before revealing a very angry looking Jack from amidst the smoke. I tilted my head to face my best friend before gracing him an innocent smile, despite of the absolute chaos I'd just caused.
Yep. Safe to say we defintely failed that experiment for chemistry.
