"Thanks for the coffee. It's perfect," Courtney said as her and Duncan walked side by side in the park.
"I know, I made it," Duncan said flipping his imaginary hair over his shoulder making her laugh.
They walk comfortably beside each other with Courtney wondering why Duncan would spontaneously do this.
They've been in a good spot for a couple of weeks. Not together but together, in a way only they know. Even though they weren't exclusive they told each other everything. They talked out their problems, even the smallest ones about who was going to pay for meals or drive to the next location.
Courtney couldn't help but wonder what he wanted. Was it to get back together? To officially break away from each other?
Duncan sudden wrapped his arm around her waist and lead her out the park and across the street to the bookstore making Courtney's eyes widen and her feet stop once they reached the entrance and she turned to him.
"Duncan if you have to tell me something just do it," Courtney said pleadingly.
