TRIGGER WARNING
vomit, angst

I look at the rearview mirror. I see Andrea and Shane talking quietly while fiddling with a gun. Even though I can only see Andrea's face, Shane's presence makes me uncomfortable. I can't sit still in my seat and I keep breathing heavily. I notice Dale looking suspiciously over at me.

"Are you okay?" he asks, his eyes darting from the road to me.

"Yeah, I'm fine," I say, my voice catching in my throat as I fiddle with my hands. I don't feel well.

"I get car sick a lot too," Glenn chimes in from my right, his eyes fixed on a map.

I look at him with furrowed eyebrows, a confused look that alters my face. ''I don't...'' I say before Dale's frustrations interrupt me.

''Oh, jeez,'' Dale says and all eyes lay on him. Shane turns around and looks towards the road. ''Aw, no.'' Shane stands up behind me with his hands on Dale's and my backrests. I can feel his presence behind me and it makes me shut down. Everything about creeps me out even more now.

The entire road is blocked by abandoned cars and trucks, prompting a frustrated sigh from Glenn. He looks down at the map in his hands. Daryl drives towards us, having just navigated through, searching for a way for the rest of the group to get through.

Daryl drives up to Dale's window, which is rolled down. ''See a way through?'' Dale asks him. Daryl looks behind him for a second before looking back up at us. I meet his eyes for a second. He nudges his head backward and looks back at Dale. Dale nods in response.
