Mona's pov

1 year, I never realized that it's been a year since li-li found me and brought me to my family. This is my first Christmas with everyone. They asked me what I wanted, but I got their love enough of a gift for me.
Life was never perfect. It never is. These sweet memories filled with bitter cherry on top make it more special. Hardships are everywhere, but how people deal with it matters the most.
After my kidnapping incident, I apologized to everyone, and we came closer with everyone. As today is Christmas and everyone in the family is coming for the dinner party, we all will exchange gifts with each other.

The bitter winter wind swept through the city, carrying with it the promise of a festive season. As the final days of the year unfolded, I am standing on the balcony seeing the city covered in white and beautiful snow, the wind making my nose red and cold, swiping through my body, but that is what I like.  Suddenly, I feel two arms hugging me, giving me their warmth, I snuggle into it, knowing it's one of my brothers.

"My baby is not shy anymore." I Hear Ethan say to me as his chest rumbles with his deep voice.

I hum, "When you're with me, I don't need to feel shy."

"I can't believe it's been a year now." He says.

"Me too. It feels like just yesterday, Mommy, Daddy, Li-li, and Big bro came to pick me up." I say, smiling as I recall that memory. The shock, anger, and happiness are still very novel to me.

"Well, big brother did pick you up." He said, and I chucked. That's so true.

"Then I met you guys, I gave you those sweet nicknames," I say, smiling.

"The correct term for that would be weird." He says, and I can feel him scrunching his nose.

"Then I saw this big, beautiful house." I say, and he tightened his grip on me.

"You made it home." He says, and I can feel his warmth. Kissing my forehead, he smiles.

At this moment, I realized that I don't need gifts. All I need is their love.

Mona found herself surrounded by the warmth of family and the echoes of a tumultuous journey that had brought her to this moment of celebration.

This year has been amazing for them, and they hope that their next year also is as amazing as this.

The flickering fireplace cast a cozy ambiance, and the sounds of laughter echoed through the halls as Mona's family prepared for the festivities.
In the heart of the home, the Christmas tree stood tall, adorned with an array of ornaments that reflected the eclectic tapestry of Mona's life. Each ornament, a symbol of love, resilience, and the unbreakable bonds that had weathered the storms of their shared history.

Mona, clad in a festive sweater, moved through the house, her heart swelling with gratitude for the newfound sense of belonging. Her family, once fractured by secrets and shadows, had come together in a testament to the resilience of love and the power of redemption.
