If you're rereading this as after the third update (4/10/17) and you've read it before, know that I changed Unixy's age and what grade she's in at school. 😝
She was 16 and a junior but there happened to be a year long time jump later on that I didn't want to be there, so I cut that out and made her 17 and a senior, just so everything fits better.

Unixy's POV
I fix the hem of my long sleeve shirt before hooking my wolf necklace; then my silver necklace around the back of my neck. I couldn't help but feel like I was missing something, so I ran my brush through my hair quickly and swiped on a little mascara to brighten my already gleaming eyes.
"Today's going to be different, I can feel it." I whisper, squeezing my face with my hands and sighing. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I hear my mom shout my name.
"Unixy!" My mom, Danica, yells from the bottom of the stairs. "You don't want to be late for school do you?" I smile to myself and run down the carpeted steps, into the kitchen.
"Nope! I'd rather not be on social probation my first week of school cause of one tardy." My mom starts chuckling at me as I give her an odd look, though after a moment, I couldn't help but laugh too as I grab my book bag and sling it over my shoulder.
"That would suck." Mom says, grabbing her keys and opening the front door.
In the car, I sat in the passenger seat, bouncing my leg up and down with every passing second. Okay, I'm kind of nervous, but who wouldn't be? It's my first day of my senior year of high school and every cell in my body is filled to the brim with my uncontainable excitement.
I couldn't be happier to see my friends that I've missed so much. My family and I had gone on a trip to Florida that lasted the entire summer to see my grandmother for her birthday. She turned 98; the oldest living member of my family.
"I have to take Cassy, Abby, and Logan to their appointment in an hour. Your dad said he'd ride along cause you know how those kids are when they have to get shots. Tear fest here we come." Mom explains and I nod quickly causing her to send me a weird look. "What'd you do? Drink 20 cups of coffee this morning?" I can't help but laugh and shrug as we pull up in the parking lot of the high school. You may be wondering why I'm not driving myself to school considering I'm a senior and I'm 17, and that's only because having one of my parents drive me to school on the first day, is an old family tradition. I don't know why, it just is.
Now, I'm not one of the popular girls in school, but I do have a wonderful group of friends. According to my best friend, I'm one of the "Pretty, but Smart Girls." And yes, my school has its cliques. Doesn't every school?
I'm not a 'Dumb Blonde' and I understand why people would think that. I just find it offensive when I get called that, especially when it's by people who don't even know me. I honestly believe that I'm smarter than half the people that go to Harvard, but that's only because I have an IQ of 189 and an eidetic memory. If I didn't have both of these things, then I probably would be dumb. Sometimes I consider them a blessing, and other times it's a curse. I used to get comments from the kids I go to school with like, "Smartass", but that was back in middle school. I haven't had someone call me a smartass since the 6th grade, and I just about broke their nose.
