Ayyyo mayyyo I'm back! 😝
Enjoy!

Unixy's POV
I cross the small street to the sidewalk on the other side, knowing deep down I can't hide from those boys. I can't hide from anyone. Yes, I wish I could wear colored contacts and dye my hair to fit in- but I can't.
As I reach the driveway, I step onto the gravel and walk up to the front of the house. Opening the door, I take my shoes off and lay them inside on the rug. Laurie, I know, isn't home yet, but Dave is; I can tell by his humming coming from the kitchen."Mm... pork chops?" I ask, receiving a laugh along with a grin from my grandfather.
"My specialty." He replies. "I'm Dave." Holding out his hand, he turns around, and I step over to him- avoiding his hand, I wrap my arms around his waist. His arms wrap around my shoulders as he chuckles.
"I'm Unixy.""It's nice to meet you. I'm very sorry for your loss." I nod, dropping my arms.
"Thank you, but it's your loss too. So, I'm sorry." I smile softly. He goes back to tending to the cooked chops, adding spices and herds to the tender meat."Dinner is ready, Laurie should be home-" Dave looks over at the clock on the wall. "Right... now." And as if on cue, Laurie waltzes in.
"Ah! I see you've met Dave!" She grins, laying her purse and keys on the counter. "She's a sweetheart isn't she, hun?"
"She is. Are you guys hungry, yet?" Dave asks. I nod, along with Laurie. Laurie heads over to a cabinet and begins to pull out plates, forks, and knives, along with cups and napkins to set the table with.
After ten minutes of both Laurie and I sitting at the island in the middle of the kitchen and her telling me funny stories of when my mom was a kid, dinner is finally finished. And as I began eating, it only took me a short amount of time to begin to get full from the surplus of food that Dave had cooked.
"Thank you for dinner, but I hate to say that I'm stuffed." Laurie and Dave both laugh causing me to, too."That's okay, dear. You can leave your plate there and we'll clean up later."
"Thank you." I stand up from my spot at the table, walking up to my room. Making sure not to trip on the top step like earlier, I slowly head over to the window seat, actually taking in what my room looks like. I took notice that it had stopped raining when I got home, and it hadn't started back up again, which is a good thing considering I have school tomorrow.
Something rustles in a bush at the edge of the tree line before stepping out. A large brown wolf trots over to the stream and laps up a few drinks of water.
It looks up at my window and cocks it's head to one side. I can't help but smile at the adorableness, if that's even a word. I've always loved wolves and so did my family.~~~~
Opening my eyes slowly, I slam my hand down on the alarm clock next to my bed. It's 6:45- school starts at 8:00- but I thought I'd get up early enough to look decent for my first day.
I'm not nervous. It's only a new school, in a new town, in a new state, in a new part of the country- okay, I'm nervous.
I climb out of bed and walk over to the window. The sun is barely visible through the trees, but the sky is a bright pinkish purple color.
All I'm hoping for is that nobody will notice me at school... Right. Nobody is going to notice the new girl. Please. Everybody is going to notice me, then they're going to learn about my life. And my academic records. Everything.
I head downstairs after changing into pale blue skinny jeans; a long sleeve, black v-neck; black combat boots; a navy blue beanie; with my hair straightened behind me.
"Would you like me to drive you to school, dear? It's a little rainy outside." Laurie asks, handing me a plate with eggs and bacon on it. I nod in reply, digging into the food. "We'll leave when you're done." She smiles brightly.I finish the plate of food in about 15 minutes, before grabbing my book bag and walking out to the car with Laurie.
"Grandma, what if nobody likes me? What if I don't make any friends? What if-"
"Shush, child. They'll love you. And you'll make plenty of friends. So stop worrying."
"Okay. I can do this... I can do this." I whisper the last part, more to myself than to Laurie. We pull up at the high school and I sigh, looking out the window. "I can't do this." Laurie grabs my face between her hands and locks eyes with me."You. Will. Be. Fine." She states. "Gym clothes are in your bag." She finally lets my face go and I smile, causing her to. "You'll have fun, trust me. I'll pick you up, right here, after school. Okay?"
"Okay. I love you, grandma."
"I love you too, dear. Now go, you're gonna be late." She kisses my cheek as I open my door, taking my book bag and slinging it over my shoulder."Bye, see you after school." I conclude, stepping out of the warmth into the cool morning air; closing the door behind me.
There are so many people here, how in the world will I blend in?
I fix my beanie and walk toward the main entrance, gaining stares until I reach the entrance. Entering, I take notice of the office to my right where a thin secretary sits at the large desk.
"May I have some help? I'm new here." I ask shyly. She looks up at me from her computer and grins, which makes some of the nerves that I had dissipate."What's your name?"
"Unixy Skyler."
"Unixy is a beautiful name, suits you very well."
"Thanks." I blush slightly.
"I have your schedule ready for you to take. Your first is English on the third floor. Miss Walkers, room 206. I'll call and let her know you're on your way up."
"Thank you." I take the paper from her and begin my trek up the three flights of stairs, until I reach the third and final floor of the school. Now to find room 206.202. 203. 204. 205.
206. Here it is.
Should I knock? I mean, I don't really want to face a possibly mean teacher on my first day here. What if she hates me from the start? What if my classmates hate me?
Oh god, I think I'm going to be sick.~~~~~~~~
So, I'm combining the sequel and this book into one, I'll explain more about it in the next chapter, but yeah.
Let me know what you think about it.
Hope you enjoyed!
Love you guys.
