Chapter 16 - What heppens in NYC stays in NYC

I woke up. Finn still had his arm around me. I moved it and sat up. I looked over at Yasmin and Josh who were still asleep. Yasmin yawned and sat up and looked at me. She saw Josh's arm on her. I laughed at her and then Finneas woke up stretching his arms. Yasmin then laughed too and threw a pillow at Josh. He woke up but then held it on his face and whined.
- I'll kill whoever did that.
Yasmin laughed. Josh threw it on the side and gave Yasmin the death stare. She just smiled.
- Sorry bro, we just kinda fell asleep.
Josh said and looked at Finneas who just nodded and then stood up. He grabbed his shirt from the floor and went to the bathroom.
- I'm gonna brush my teeth.
- Yeah you do that!
I yelled at him and he rolled his eyes at me. I smiled. Josh took the blanket and rolled himself  in it.
- Just 20 more minutes.
I went up to him and jumped on him.
- No I'm hungry bro. Give me fooood!
I said near his ear. He placed his hand on my face and shushed me.
- Just go without me. I'll go down later.
I looked at Yasmin who put on her clothes. The shrugged and went up to the mirror to brush her hair.
- Alright. We'll go then. I have to call Travis and see where we should meet up today.
Finneas came out with a toothbrush in his mouth.
- What you guys talking about?
He asked.
- Just that Josh doesn't wanna go down to breakfast yet. But we'll go and then I'll call Travis and see when we should meet up.
Finneas nodded and went in to the bathroom again. Then he came out again wiping his mouth with a towel.
- Which hotel are they staying at?
- I don't know yet.
I said.
- Okay, but first I need breakfast. Josh you sure you're not hungry.
Finneas asked Josh.
Josh made a thumbs up under the blanket. And then we all got dressed and went downstairs to the breakfast buffet.

When we had gotten our breakfast, me and Yasmin sat down and I saw that she wanted to ask me about last night.
- So, spill!
I took a bite of my toast.
- Okay. We went to a cafe and talked then we walked around and then we crashed.
She rolled her eyes.
- I need more deets!
I took another bite and then Yasmin pulled my plate away.
- No more food until you answer me.
- Okay, fine.
- We made out the whole time.
Yasmin gasped.
- I knew it would be good for you guys coming here. Kissing in secret.
She giggled.
I smiled.
- Yeah it's been amazing. Just don't tell him.
Yasmin pretended to lock her mouth and threw away the key. Then Finneas came. He handed us both a cup of coffee.
- Here you go ladies.
- Thanks Finnigan.
Yasmin said. Giving me a look. Finneas looked confused.
- Did I miss something?
I shook my head and took a sip.
- No, just girl talk.
Finneas nodded and sat down to eat.
- So, Finn. You been to New York before?
Yasmin asked him. Finneas looked up at her.
- Yeah, with my dad. He lived here when I was little.
Yasmin nodded then looked at me. I gave her no reaction.
- Where is your dad now?
She asked. Finneas twisted in his seat and before he answers he took a sip from his orange juice.
- Uh, he- he lives in Seattle with his wife and her kids.
Yasmin nodded.
- Do you see him often?
Finneas sighed.
- No.
He answers cold.
Yasmin looked at me. I tilted my head. She understood that it was a hard subject.
- I'm gonna go grab more bread.
She said and went away. Finneas ate his food, not looking at me.
- Finneas...
He didn't look at me.
- Finn... answer me, please?
He looked at me.
- She didn't know.
He shrugged.
- I'm not mad.
I tilted my head and placed my hand on his chin.
- I know it's hard for you to talk about him.
He leaned away, took a sip from his coffee and ignored me. Then Yasmin came back.

No one made a sound the entire time we sat there.

When we were on our way up to our room again I called Travis.
- Hi!
He answered.
- Hi, I just wanted to know where you guys are staying and where we're going to meet up today?
- We are at the hotel just a couple of blocks away from yours. I saw you on the map on Snapchat.
He laughed.
- Sorry, that's creepy.
- No it's okay. Good thinking.
I said. Finneas looked at me.
- So should we meet up at Time Square?
He asked.
- Yeah sounds good! I'll tell the others.
- Good. I'll see you later then!
- Yeah, bye.
Finneas looked at me.
- Was that Travis?
I nodded, I didn't look at him.
- Where are we meeting him?
He asked.
- It's not just him.
He shrugged. Yasmin looked at me. She mimed: "awkward." I rolled my eyes.

We got ready all of us and left to go meet the others.
- So is Disa gonna be there?
Josh asked me as I was looking at the signs to find the way.
- Yeah, I think so.
Josh went up to me.
- But are you sure?
I looked at him annoyed.
- I don't know Josh! Okay?
He threw his hands in the air.
- Fine sis. I was just asking.
He went to Finn. I sighed.
- Yasmin I need help.
She took my phone and typed in Time Square on google maps.
- This way!
Yasmin pointed. I sighed in relief. Yasmin patted me on my shoulder.
- You okay?
- Yeah, I'm fine.

When we finally got there Travis ran up to me and hugged me.
- You look good. I mean nice, or-
I laughed.
- Thanks Trav.
He smiled, then he hugged Yasmin and said hi to the boys. Finneas tilted his head up and looked at him.
- You're Finneas right?
- Yeah.
Finneas said short. Yamsin looked at me and mimed: "Jealous." I nodded.
Then Disa, Siri and 2 other guys came up to us. The girls looked amazing.
- Hi guys!
They said hugging us all.
- Hi!
I said.
Finneas hugged Siri and I felt a punch in my stomach. I guess I can't blame Finneas for being jealous. Siri twirled her hair and talked to him. Smiling and laughing. He smiled too. Then Travis came up to me.
- So, do you wanna go eat lunch?
I nodded and smiled.
- Yeah sure. Hey guys! Lunch?
They all said yes and then we went to a restaurant. Apparently Travis had looked up a good restaurant before.

We all sat down by a big table. Travis sat beside me and Finneas sat a few chairs away on the other side of the table. He looked at me. I tried to get his attention but he was busy talking with Siri. I like Siri, I don't blame her for liking Finn. She doesn't know about me and him. But it still stings seeing him get attention from a pretty girl that's not me.
- So, you found any after school activities that you might wanna try?
Travis asked me.
- I looked up the soccer team. Seems pretty good. I know a couple of girls in the team. I think I'll try it out when school starts.
Travis smiled wide.
- I'm happy you found something. If you want, I could come to your games?
I smiled.
- That would be great!
I looked over at Finn. He looked at me now.
- I didn't know you wanted to try out for the soccer team, Linn?
He said.
- Well, I thought about it. And it seems nice to have something to do after school. And meet new people.
He looked at Travis.
- You didn't tell me?
He said.
- I was just thinking about it then. I'm sure now.
- You decided just this second?
I sighed.
- Finn, it's no big deal.
He twisted in his seat.
- Yeah, whatever.
I looked at my shoes. Why's he like this? Yasmin looked at me.
- You okay?
She said quietly. I nodded.
