Josh

Yasmin sat on the other bed looking at her phone. I yawned and sat up. She didn't notice I was awake. I looked around the room, I didn't see Finn or Linny.
- Where's everyone?
Yasmin flinched. She held her hand on her chest.
- Jesus! I didn't know you were awake.
I smiled.
- Sorry.
- It's okay.
She said. She put her phone down and went up from her bed.
- Finneas was going to check something with the booking and Linny followed.
I nodded.
- Okay. When are they coming back?
She shrugged.
- I don't know?
She went into the bathroom.

I looked at the room service menu for something to eat. Then Yasmin came out. She had her hair in a bun and she had put on a pajamas.
- I'm so tired. I think I'm going to bed early.
- No! Let's order room service. I'm starving.
I said. She looked at me.
- Alright, but you're paying.
She giggled. I smiled. She had a pretty laugh. She realized that I was staring at her and I quickly looked away.
- Okay, what do you want?
I asked.
- I'm feeling French fries and a lot of ketchup.
I looked disgusted. She shrugged.
- What? It's good. Don't deny it til you try it.
- That's not how you say it.
She rolled her eyes at me.
- Yeah , yeah whatever.
I laughed.
- Alrighty, French fries coming up.

I ordered from the phone. A couple of minutes later a guy came up with our food. Yasmin clapped her hands in excitement.
- God I'm hungry!
I handed her plate and we sat down on each bed.
- Mmm...
She moaned. I smiled.
- Is it that good?
She nodded. She pretended to smoke a cigarette with a fry and then she giggled.
- I wish I could smoke in here.
She said sighing.
- You want to go outside after we've eaten and take a smoke?
She nodded and smiled at me.

Later we went down to the lobby and went outside. Yasmin took out a package off cigarettes and handed me one.
- Thanks.
I said. Then she gave me a lighter. I lit hers and then mine. Then we just stood there. Watching cars and people pass us by.
- I-
I was about to say something but stopped.
- What?
She asked.
- No, I was just saying that I'm never eating ever again.
She giggled. I love her laugh.
- Yeah, I will. I can't get enough of ketchup and fries.
She smiled. Then she inhaled the cigarette and just stood there. Her curly black hair and brown eyes were intoxicating.
- Don't tell Linn. I told her I quit a while ago.
She looked anxious.
- I won't, don't worry.
She smiled.

When we came up to our room again I sat down on Yasmin's bed.
- You wanna watch a movie?
I asked her.
- Yes!
She took the remote and turned on the tv. Then she scrolled through the rent section.
- What about, me before you?
I tilted my head.
- What's it about?
Yasmin looked shocked.
- Are you kidding me?! You haven't seen me before you?!
I shook my head.
- Alright. We'll see this movie right now.
- But, can't we see if there is anything else?
- No.
She turned on the movie and sat back against the pillows. I looked at her and smiled. She didn't look back.

A little later I yawned and laid on my side and made myself comfortable on Yasmin's bed. She looked at me.
- You know you have your own bed.
I shrugged.
- So, I'm not gonna fall asleep.
- Mhm.
She giggled.
A couple of minutes later I was asleep.

I woke up and the room was dark. The tv was on but the movie had ended. Yasmin laid against the wall sleeping. I smiled, she's so beautiful. I don't think I've realized that before. I don't know what got into me but I put my arm on her. Then I fell asleep again. The next day I woke up when Yasmin threw a pillow at me. I took the pillow and launched it at her. She laughed.
- Let's go down and eat? I'm starving.
Linny said.
- Sorry man, we just kinda fell asleep.
Finneas chuckled.
- It's okay. Okay guys let's go.
- I'm tired. You go without me.
I said. And covered myself with a blanket I don't remember putting on last night.

Then they all left. I stayed in our room and didn't fall asleep again. I went into the bathroom and splashed some water on my face. I don't know why I put my arm in her last night. I don't know what these feelings are. I need them to go away. I went back to the bed and scrolled through social media and searched Disa's account. I scrolled through her posts but I still thought about Yasmin. Then I threw my phone on the bed and took the pillow on my face and squealed.

The door opened and they all came back. Yasmin looked a little upset and Finn looked pissed.
-What's up?
I asked. Finneas grabbed his backpack and went out the room. I looked at Linny who looked mad.
- What's up with him?
She shrugged.
- How should I know.
She went into the bathroom. Yasmin threw herself on the bed and sighed deep.
- Did something happen?
- I asked Finn about his dad.
She said.
- Oh. Well Finn gets a little upset when you talk about John. He left his mom when she got sick.
Yasmin looked at me.
- God, how awful. I shouldn't have kept going.
She sighed.
- Eh, it's fine. He'll get over it in a couple of hours.
I smiled. She smiled back.

Linny had called Travis and they discussed where we should meet up. Finn was still upset. And I was over it. I went up to him.
- Hey, bro. Quit weeping.
He looked at me.
- What?
- You know what I mean.
I said pushing him.
- I'm not upset.
I looked confused at him.
- You sure?
Nodded and gave me a wide smile. I pushed him again. I went up to Linny.
- So is Disa gonna be there?
She looked at me.
- I think so.
- But are you sure?
She gave me the death stare.
- I don't know! Okay?
She yelled. I threw my hand up in the air.
- Okay, okay.
I went back to Finn. He was still moping around.
What is going on with everybody?

When we meet the others I saw Disa and went up to her and hugged her.
- Hi!
She said. She smiled wide and hugged me.
- Hi. How are you?
I asked her. She nodded.
- I'm good, you?
- Yeah I'm fine.
I looked at Yasmin who talked to Travis and Linny.
- So, what college did you choose?
She asked.
- I'm going to Stanford.
- Wow, I'm impressed.
She said smiling.
- Yeah, so is my dad.
We both laughed.

We all went to a restaurant and ate together. I sat next to Disa and Yasmin. They both talked to each other making me lean backwards so they could see each other. I don't know why, but it feels weird having them both next to me.
