Chapter 8

I walk down the hall, looking at my clipboard with a frown, it had been 4 days now since i had started here and today I had to get everyone's bloods for testing.

I really didn't want to but none of them would allow the doctor near them anymore. Especially since i removed the more predatory patients' muzzles.

I sigh as i tap my pen against the plastic.

"Nurse Onnora!" I hear my name called and turn to see Dwayne.

He was freed from his mentor yesterday.

"Hello Dwayne, do you need my help?" I ask as i write a note on the patient data.

"You have two new patients arriving in about 10 minutes" he smiles at me and i feel my heart tighten slightly.

I had such a weird vibe from him, he felt dangerous but alluring.

"I wasnt notified of any new patients" i narrow my eyes at him "it was a last second decision as their original destination was too far for them, Hannibal will have his friend so he won't be as uptight as well" i raise my eyebrow, i had heard of the patient who was taken away for assessment.

"Will Graham" i say, he nods "who is the other?"

He glances nervously around "his name is Pennywise, he is heavily sedated but they cant risk taking him too far, i believe he and Creeper worked together at one point" i nod.

"Another Alien?" I ask him and he pauses.

"No one is sure what he is, he is much stronger than the others, not demon, his blood floats if that helps" i frown.

"An abnormality. Perhaps he is an unknown entity or a fallen God" i tap my chin thoughtfully as Dwayne just watches me.

He did it a lot i realise.

"Hey Honey?" I hum as i meet his eyes "can i suggest hiring some of my friends?" He looks down cautiously and i pause.

"I don't see why not as long as their background is checked, why ask me?" He shakes his head slightly.

"No particular reason, thank you" i nod as i watch him wander off down the hall.

So i had to wait for my new patients.

I sigh before knocking on Hannibal's cell.

May as well tell him of his friends arrival.

"Come in my dear" he calls, he had relaxed more around me.

I walk in and he smiles up at me from his book.

"To what do i owe the pleasure of the lovely Hyacinth entering my humble abode?" I chuckle at his sarcasm.

"I need to check your blood and get readings i'm afraid" he cocks an eyebrow at me before rolling up his sleeve.

"Only for you my dear nurse" he holds out his arm to me before i walk up to him, i kneel down as i wipe the area with an alcohol wipe before pulling out the needle from the packet.

"Slight pinch" i mumble as i slide it into the vein.

He chuckles "i know, my dear".

"I said it for myself Hannibal, i wasnt trained in nursing, i was shown how to do this about 20 minutes ago" i chuckle at his surprised look as i slowly pull the syringe back, making sure not to trap air or pull too much out at once.

I grab a cotton swab and hover it over the needle as i slide it out before pressing it over the hole.

I remove the metal needle, throwing it into a little bag i had attached to my hip for them and bag the vial of blood before putting his initials H.L.
