Destiny hated airports. It's not because of the tiredness after flights or the fact she stresses hours before her flight to make sure she got her passport. It's the crowds. She hated that it was like a battlefield in there, ninety percent of people seemed to lose all common sense. But she had no right to complain considering where she was at the current time. She was on a tropical island what could be better than that, after Destiny got her luggage, she went over to the desk to get the registration for her rental car for the time she was on the island. Tua Island was near the Bahamas's area, but it seemed a lot more remote and quiet from what she saw from her client's email.   As she drove, she saw the small island city life which made her even more excited to see the island when she wasn't with her client which she honestly might not have had a lot of time to do because the bride insisted, she join in on the other events before the wedding.  As she arrived at the hotel, she saw her client. As she greeted the bride Destiny got escorted to the main lobby of the hotel gazing at it barely listening to what the bride was saying, she was just in awe at the place.

"So, like I said you'll stay here, and I'll get you after you get settled in so we can get to the venue for the bridal shower " Layla rambled in excitement.

"Yeah, sounds great," Destiny responded thanking the girl before going to the sign-in desk. "Hello, I have a room booked under Hawthorne. Destiny Hawthorne." She smiled politely keeping her bags close to her.  "Thank you for your help," she said as she grabbed the key card for her room rolled her bags over to the elevator, and waited until it arrived at the floor her room was on. Destiny couldn't wait to get onto a bed and rest for a few moments her jet lag was hitting her hard right about now. As she swiped the card to her room, she was stunned to see a red-haired male on one of the beds in the room. That face, she'd sworn she'd never have to see it again.

"Huh?" The red-haired male looked up smiling softly amusement filling his features. "Destiny" he let out her name like he couldn't believe his eyes that she was right there in front of him.

"Hi, Levi," Destiny said her arms crossed over her torso as her heels clicked on the marble hotel floor. "What are you doing in my hotel room." She asked getting very impatient to get some rest due to her jet lag.

"Your room?" He asked, " This is my room." Levi stated with a matter-of-fact tone. Destiny rubbed her temple and looked at him. "This floor is for a wedding, and I don't think you are part of it." Destiny rolled her eyes.

"What makes you say that Hawthorne?" Levi retorted. Destiny gave him a pointed look before speaking again "Well for one ..." ok he got her she didn't have anything to come back with, but this made her wonder why he was on this floor.

"I'm the bride's brother. Destiny." He revealed. "I'm in the wedding." He continued.

The two stood in a tension-filled silence for a while. Destiny was watching him in shock while Levi had an unreadable expression, she initially thought he might have been angry at her. This continued for a few more moments until Destiny finally broke the silence.

"So, what're we going to do we can't both sleep in here. I need this room to do the bride's makeup for the wedding " she stressed looking at the suitcase full of her work items by the door.

"Why not?" Levi asked, "If we share the bed, you'll still be able to get all of your work stuff in and it'll waste less time than trying to re-room one of us."

Levi took a step forward. "Or are you scared you'll fall for me again?" He smirked down at her; it was like he was purposely trying to piss her off.

"Absolutely not. You wish. " Destiny rolled her eyes annoyance filling her more and more.

Levi chuckled backing up and lifting his hands up in mock defense. "I'm just saying." The smirk still plastered on his face.

Destiny did not acknowledge his words, instead, she simply rolled her work suitcase in the bathroom organizing her makeup products accordingly and making sure they were set to go for the coming days.

"I'll be back." Levi called " groomsmen business you know." He reminded Destiny like that fact hadn't stuck in her head "Don't do anything I wouldn't do." Levi continued before he shut the door.

"God. Of course, I take Layla's wedding and of course, I had to run into Levi." Destiny grumbled a bit before laying on the bed. "Why didn't I recognize her when I got to the hotel." she ranted to nobody. "Just my fucking luck." she sighed running her hand through her hair.

Destiny rolled off the bed and hummed "No wonder she wanted me here to stay for the entire wedding. She knows me." she thought to herself before continuing her thoughts. "I will say though I did miss hanging out with her. "

Although the breakup did hurt Destiny had a harder time realizing she wouldn't get to see the energetic girl who slowly became like her own little sister, she had practically watched her grow so now that she was getting married, even though Destiny hated to admit it, it made her feel sort of emotional. She was almost proud that her ex-boyfriend's little sister found someone to care for her the way she should be. Even though she was not happy with Levi she found Layla was someone she would never stay away from for too long. The girl was like a ray of sunshine that never seemed to be gloomy for too long. Thinking back, it made her smile, getting out of her own head she finished unpacking her things and organizing her clothes into the unoccupied drawers, there weren't too many leftover but she made do, the remaining items stayed in her suitcase untouched. After she unpacked, she sat on the balcony overlooking the beach. Layla did an incredible job with location, the island was like something you'd see on a Pinterest board, or what she had seen of it. The overall vibe was just magical, the perfect place to get married. She may have to ask Layla how she found this place, not that she would be getting married anytime soon. After her relationship with Levi, she had sworn off guys. Permanently. It wasn't that she wasn't willing to date again, it was just why waste the effort in dating when ninety-nine percent of the things you do in a relationship you could easily do yourself. Besides she was too busy with work to even think about it just due to this time of year was when she got prepped for her busy season with the brides booking her last minute for their dream summer weddings. Destiny didn't mind it though, she loved staying busy because if she didn't have clients she be sitting around doing nothing all day which she didn't like doing at all she very much preferred to stay up and about. Some called her a workaholic because of this, she just preferred to call herself goal-oriented even if said goals were small, she wanted to accomplish them every single day. So, she decided to sit down and be productive by responding to a few of her potential clients about makeup ideas or any concerns or reservations they may have about booking her for their wedding. It honestly was the most relaxed she had been all day, with the combined stress of jet lag and Levi having the normalcy of work there alongside the view of the ocean and the breeze blowing in her hair this, was gold to her.

Destiny spent a few more moments responding to emails before logging off and enjoying the view below her balcony fantasizing about all the things, she would be able to do in her spare time when she wasn't doing wedding-related activities. I could collect seashells like I did when I was younger..., go on a long walk, read...the options are endless" she thought to herself a smile crossing her usual stoic expression. But then her fantasy was ruined by the boy who caused her the most stress.

"You know, you don't always have to work you can take a break every so often Destiny." Levi spoke looking at the raven-haired girl." Destiny sighed closing her shut-down laptop. "I know and I do have breaks for your information" Destiny retorted. Levi scoffed "Yeah and I didn't fail calculous our senior year of high school. "Liam gave her a deadpan expression. " Now come on before my sister's bridal shower I am getting you a coffee," he said pulling her out the door.

"Oh god, here we go." Destiny thought
