At Shefalika's home,

Janaki and Naarad were sitting on the swing and the sofa respectively. The police came.

"Arre aaiye daroga sahab!" Naarad stood up and greeted with a smile.

"Aaiye kotwal sahab, bataiye kaise aana hua" janaki asked sitting on the swing. Mandodari came from the kitchen holding her veil.

"Hum yahan... Naarad Chatterjee aur Mandodari Chatterjee ko giraftar karne aaye hain" the officer said.

Naarad and Mandodari got shocked hearing this. "Arre lekin humne kiya kya h humein bataiye toh" naarad said.

"Dekhiye, aapke khilaaf Deenpur Sarkari Aspataal ki taraf se shikayat darj ki gayi hai ki, aapne unki mareez Shefalika chatterjee ke khane mein behoshi ki dawa milakr unhe jaan se maarne ki koshish ki h" the officer said.

"Na-nahi, humne aisa kuch nhi kiya! Sasu maa, sasu maa humein bacha lijiye" Mandodari said crying and joining her hands.

"Eee... daroga, Yeh kya kehe rahe ho, pagla gaye ho kya? Jaante bhi ho kiske ghar mein khade hokar yeh bol rahe ho" janaki said standing up.

"Haa haa, saboot toh laakar dikhao, ki humne yeh kiya h!" Naarad said "hum aapko saare saboot dikha denge, pehle aap humare saath chaliye, le chalo inhe" the officer said. The constables locked the handcuffs in their hands and dragged them.

Anirudh came in their room. The lights were off in the room. He saw her laying unconsciously on the bed. He went and laid down on the bed besides her. He changed his side and faced her. He placed his one hand on hers which was on her stomach. Tears started falling.

"Pata nhi jab tum uthogi toh, kaise tumse baat kar paunga, kaise tumhari nazro se nazre milaunga, kaise tumhe sach bataunga ki-ki, main-main humare bache ko nhi bacha paaya" he said this much and started crying "I'm sorry bondita, I'm so sorry..." he was sobbing while saying this.

Bondita started opening her eyes slowly. He immidiately wiped his tears. She started moving her sight here and there to find him.

"Bondita!" He called her softly. She turned her sight to him "pati babu, kya hua tha? Main so gayi thi kya?" She asked

"Nhi bondita tumhe chakkar aa gaya tha toh tum behosh ho gayi thi" he said getting up.

"Arre haa... main-main toh doodh pee rahi thi na aur tabhi shayad aah...." she tried to get up but suddenly felt a deadly pain in her abdomen.

"Bondita utho mat let jao!" He said holding her hand.

"Pati babu yeh, itna dard kyu ho raha h mughe aahh! Bohot dard ho raha h pet mein!" She said pressing her abdomen tightly.

"Bondita vo hota h aise tum-tum aaraam karo thik ho jayega" he said calming her down.

"Nhi-nhi pati babu kuch-kuch h, kuch baat aahh... kuch baat h, yeh dard aisa vaisa dard nhi h aahh!!!" She said while crying due to the pain.

"Bondita kuch nhi h, vo tumhe vaise hi dard ho raha h aisa kuch nhi h, tum-tum ruko main tumhare liye painkiller laata hu" he said and was gonna get up when she held her arm.

"Pati babu, sach bataiye, kuch baat h na. Mughe, mughe kuch feel ho raha h aap bataiye kuch baat h na!" She asked.

Kaka and som came on the door while hearing her voice.

"Nhi-nhi bondita aisi koi baat nhi h jaisa tum soch..." he was saying when she interrupted.

"Aapko meri kasam, sach bataiye, kya baat h?" She said while breathing deeply and holding his hand.
