Avery Gilbert was born on January 8th, 1990. She was raised to be the star of the family and became that star, with straight A's, popularity, and a loving family. Growing up, Elena was jealous of Avery's upbringing and made it her goal to become more than just Avery GIlbert's little sister.
When their parents died at Wickory Bridge, Aunt Jenna and Avery were left to deal with a rebelling Jeremy, and when the news came, everything went downhill. Avery lost her star and her will to keep going in life, despising her little sister for being the cause of her parent's deaths. Her way of mourning was becoming a shadow, keeping her good grades but losing all of her friends. She was only a senior when the deaths happened, and that senior year was the worst year she ever had as a student. Everyone pitied Elena because she was in the car, and everyone forgot the star of the Gilbert family, more like the black hole of the family now. Elena got what she wanted, and Avery became a cracked shell.
When the year was over, Avery immediately applied for a job at the Mystic Grill and worked into going to college at Whitmore to be a psychologist. Now, a new year has begun for her little siblings at school, and a new beginning starts for Avery as she slowly leaves her siblings behind.
