Emerald's Pov

It's been a week. A fucking week since Natasha and Tony left to go on that god for saken misson. Each day that has passed, i have gotten this pain in the chest, and it gets stronger and stronger every day. The pain today has been excruciating, and it travels up my chest and down my arms and no matter what i do to try to ease the pain nothing seems to work because it's the pain caused by my soulmate. I packed a bag last night ready for me to leave to find Natasha because i swear some of this pain isn't just from her denying the bond. I think some of this pain i am feeling is from Natasha being in pain, and just thinking of her being in pain has me moving to get off my bed.

The rest of the team and my brother have tried to help me as the days go one, but right now, im in this depressed stage. Nothing they do is helping now because all i am doing is staying in my bedroom, ignoring everything and everyone. Peter did come into my room yesterday wanting my help with his homework, and of course, i helped him because i can't say no to that cute bean. No one else has really made an effort to try to get me to come out of my room. Yes, they have tried to help, but as soon as i say no, they give up almost immediately. This team has no patience, which isn't the best thing because some missions require patience of some kind.

Suddenly, my bedroom door is thrown open by the golden retriever god. He storms over to me, picks me up, and throws me over his shoulder, making me kick out at him at the sudden touch, yet he doesn't react at all. He walks out of the bedroom, keeping me on his shoulder, takes the elevator to the common floor, and then drops me onto the couch. I see everyone say around me on the other couches, and Fury is standing in front of all of us with my brother beside him who is looking at me worriedly. He mouths one word, and I know this is serious, and it makes me snap into agent mode. He mouthed Natasha. I sit up straight with a blank face, ready to hear the details of whatever mission Fury will be sending us on because this mission is far more important than any other mission I have been sent on.

"My agents lost all contact with Natasha and Tony yesterday at nine am. I sent agents to their last known location, and there was nothing but destruction. From what they found, there is evidence that Tony and Natasha may have been taken by Hydra. The agents found tranquillisers. So today, i am sending a team to their last location to rescue and evacuate them. I want you all working in pairs, so there is no risk of anyone else getting abducted. No one fights alone. Is that clear?" Fury said, glancing at all of us, but he looks at me longer

"Understood." Everyone declared except me

"Agent Raven?" Fury said, seeing the look in my eyes

"Yes, director." I said, making everyone look at me confused

"No fighting alone. Is that understood?" He said, hardening his gaze at me

"I'm sorry, sir, but i will not promise anything. Your orders are understood, but i will not follow that order. Now, give my my soulmates last known location." I replied strongly, standing up, making Clint take a step towards me

"Em. You can't fight alone." Clint said worriedly

"I can, and I will. I'm not a child anymore. I'm not the little girl you remember playing in the backyard being carefree. I'm an agent of shield, and I have a bigger kill count than you. I will do what i have to do, so let me do what i have to do." I snap at him

"Everyonr suit up. The location has been sent to your pilot. You must leave immediately." Fury announced, keeping his eyes on me

"Yes, sir." They all answered, then left to suit up

"Emerald, you are going to fight the same people who took him from you. Are you sure you are ready for this?" Fury asked worriedly

"I can't live in fear when it comes to Natasha. I have to face my fears to protect her. Now, if you excuse me, i have to suit up and get to the jet." I answered him coldly

"Just watch your back, okay? You know when they see you, they will focus their attacks on you. You have to tell the team at your brother soon enough because after this, they will ask questions and i don't have the answers to give them. Now go, go get Natasha, but keep safe. Is that understood?" He said softly

"That's understood." I said, nodding at him

Then, I left the common room not waiting for Fury to say anything else. I went to the teams locker room and quickly put on my suit, making sure i had all my weapons. When I finish, i rub to the landing deck and run into the jet, taking a seat beside Peter buckling up. I look at Peter, who is looking very anxious because his leg is bouncing, and he is fiddling with his fingers. I put my hand gently on his upper arm, giving it a comforting squeeze just as the jet takes off at speed.

"Peter, little bean. No matter what happens, you stay beside my brother. No matter what you see or hear, you stick to him like glue." I said, looking out the circle windows watching the clouds race past

"What do you mean?" He said, frowning

"Don't question it, kid. Just trust me. Things might get ugly, but remember, no matter how ugly things will get, i'm still me." I murmured

"Just please keep safe." He said worriedly

"I'll try, sweetheart." I said softly, looking at him

"I'll try for you." I continued
