Leaving the ship, grabbing some money and saying goodbye, Yukiji had taken his own path. On the way into these alleys, she remembered a few things so that she could find the ship again. An obvious sign was a big help to her. Longring Longland.
A strange name for an island. However, it quickly became clear to Yukiji that even the island itself was crazy. But Yukiji left this out. There were many places that were strange. That's how Usopp told it. Whether he could be believed was another matter.
But the story about dinosaurs and giants had impressed Yukiji. Well, Usopp didn't have to mention the Baroque members. That was even a reason why Yukiji believed everything he said. Of all the members of this company, she only knew Robin and Sir Crocodile. She couldn't and wasn't allowed to see anything more. Why? If a member had played the wrong game, Crocodile would have been noticed.
"Where could I find something like that..." Yukiji muttered to himself as several shops were visible. Basically she needed a sturdy wood that was also easy to handle. Usopp was able to connect this to the fan. Although, Yukiji also wanted a new material for it.
After busy hours, the pink-haired woman had finally found the shops she needed. They even stood next to each other, which was their great luck. The wood for the Aikido staff was quickly found. An older man was able to give her very good advice based on her explanation.
"This is a very nice fabric. Lightly woven, but can withstand a lot." said a middle-aged woman. "Even if it's for something that is or exceeds my height?" Yukiji asked. As a princess, she should actually know enough about fabrics. But as established early on, Yukiji just wasn't your typical princess. She had never heard of such topics.
"This material is sometimes used for the navy." , the woman simply said, which was enough for Yukiji. If the Navy already used such a fabric, it would be able to match their fan. "Then I'll take about six meters of it."
"Six meters!?" the woman shouted, somewhat surprised. "Why do they need so much of this stuff? I understand the Navy, but..."
"For my weapon." Yukiji interrupted the saleswoman and took her current Aikido staff from her back, which was attached there, and opened it. "I need enough to make him a fan. If something goes wrong, I still have some in reserve."
"I've never seen a weapon like that before..." she breathed and adjusted the glasses she was wearing. "But he doesn't look very stable." , she said straight away.
"Yes I know." , Yukiji laughed cheerfully. "But it has survived my trip well so far. But I have already bought new wood which is a bit more stable and can withstand a lot." Nodding, the saleswoman understood and began to smile. "I'm happy to give a little discount for such a young woman. After all, you have to be able to defend yourself with something."
"Thank you." , Yukiji bowed and had the fabric packed up that she would paint on the ship. After all, she wanted to be able to show her wind and her cherry blossoms somehow.
Having paid for everything and thanked him again, Yukiji left the store. She still had money left over to eat somewhere. Wondering whether she should go further into the city or go back to the ship, she looked around.
"Hmm, there's definitely something special in a city..." the eighteen-year-old thought, which is why she continued on the right path. As soon as Yukiji was in the middle of the city, an alarm from the navy sounded which could only mean one thing.
"What have the others done now...?"
