"Split up!" shouted Luffy after the first bear had been put out of action with all his might and Sentomaru had appeared immediately afterwards with another bear. As Yukiji and Zoro had noticed, the first bear was not the real one. It had behaved very differently from the one in the Thriller Bark. He hadn't even spoken to them.
This encounter had already triggered a memory in Zoro. His body hadn't been able to regenerate long enough since then, which was why he was already reaching his limit.
"I'm going with Nami-swaaan!" Sanji shouted in love, which she had accepted and would take a path with him and Franky. Yukiji took the same path as Zoro, who was followed by Usopp and Brook. Luffy would run away with Chopper and Robin, which didn't help much, as Sentomaru had caught them.
"Come on, keep going!" shouted Yukiji, who ran alongside Zoro to keep an eye on him. However, she stopped when she saw a silhouette in a light, from which a beam of light flew towards her group.
An explosion could be heard as the shot had plunged into the tree, causing it to fall over. "What...who is that?" Yukiji breathed, catching Zoro in time before he was hit.
A large shadow loomed behind her, causing Yukiji to pull Zoro a little closer to her. Her body trembled slightly as she realized that it could end the same way with him as it had with Nova. She was scared, very scared.
"Zoro! Yukiji!" she heard Luffy shout. "Flee!" came another word from him, which Yukiji couldn't do. Her body did not move. Her eyes focused on his white coat, his name coming out clearly. Kizaru, an admiral.
His left leg began to glow, which was surely related to a devil fruit. Yukiji tightened her grip on Zoro's head before closing her eyes out of reflex.
However, there was no attack, as the moment the foot came closer, his whole leg was pushed up and the light shot into the sky. "Rayleigh!" cried Usopp as he saved Yukiji and Zoro. Grateful to have been saved by him, Yukiji grabbed Zoro's body to pull him to his feet.
"I'll back you up!" shouted Silver, causing the straw hats to flee again.
"Yukiji...you...are really...stubborn..." Zoro, who was being supported by her, gasped. Once again, she would have given her life for him, which had slightly tarnished his dignity. "I won't let you die." she said to him, clawing her fingers into his shirt.
Laughing softly, Zoro closed his eyes. He had expected this answer. Nevertheless, it was not an escape. A large figure appeared in their path, causing Zoro to stiffen. Yukiji could feel his tension in her bones as she continued to hold him tightly.
Her eyes traveled from his feet to the face of her other opponent. "No..not you..." Yukiji breathed as the real body of Bear stood before them. No doubt because in his left hand was his Bible, which he had also brought with him to the Thriller Bark.
He had done something to Zoro back then. And that was exactly what had caused the pain in Zoro, who sank to his knees. "Zoro!" Yukiji called out worriedly and put her arm on his back to give him some support. His right arm, however, was still stretched out protectively in front of her. Zoro didn't want anything to happen to her. Sanji would turn his head.
Bear, who had been looking at the two of them as if they were in the Thirller Bark, took off his glove without any emotion. A paw could be seen on it, which could trigger a large pressure wave.
Yukiji gripped Zoro's shirt tightly while her right hand reached for the aikido staff. If he did anything to him, she would immediately launch an attack on him.
However, there was no attack on Bear either, who had simply swung his hand out and the whole straw hat gang could see a small swirl of clouds. Without having seen anything in particular, Yukiji and Zoro had disappeared from the scene.
"Yukiji! Zoro!"
