Chapter 12: My love...?

Ruin's POV

I'm so exited!! Moon is installing the motherboard to finally finish fixing Solar! I can't wait for him to return to his body! I've been hovering over Moon all day. I don't mean to- but I cant help it!

" Why are you so interested in Solar being fixed all of a sudden..? " Moon looks at me weird

" I- I just- I just miss him! I'm just glad he's finally gonna be back. "

Solar scoffs, " Uh-huh. You miss me alright. "

I shoot him a dirty look, " shUt uP " I say quietly through my teeth

He laughs.

" Uh-huh... Sure. " Moon replies.

I turn my attention back to Solar's for now lifeless body. Suddenly, Lunar kicks the door open.

" IS HE ON YET?? "

" Not yet, Lunar. " Moon sighs

" DAMMIT! " He joins me oh hovering over (well in Lunar's case beside) Moon.

" Okay can you guys back up-?? "

" Okay okay- " I step back

" Uh, no " Lunar just stares at moon for a second before turning his attention back to Solar.

Moon just continues to install the motherboard into the back of Solar's head. A few minutes pass. Moon suddenly stands up and wipes his hands off on his sleeves.

" Alright- He should work now. "

Lunar stands jumping up and down with excitement. I just smile excitedly. Moon stands Solar up against the wall and plugs him in just in case. I can hear the cooling system switch on and Moon turns him on. I look over at Solar's spirit which is fading away.

" See ya in a bit Ruin " He smiles

I look over back to Solar's body. He blinks a few times as the color returns to his eyes. He turns to us. He looks, confused?

" Hey there Solar. " Moon puts his hand on his waist. (like the zesty mf he is)

Solar looks around. " ...You talking to me? "

My smile fades. Moons words echo in my head, " I've ordered him a new motherboard and voice box. I can try to transfer his memories onto it but.. there's no promises. "

M-My love.. He's.. he's gone...

Moon looks defeated. Lunar steps closer to Solar.

" S-Solar..? "

Solar looks down at Lunar, still confused. Lunar grabs Moon's pants leg and starts to cry.

I quietly leave. I go to the back of the fazcade and shut the door. I press my back against it and slide down to the floor.

My love is gone.

He's not my love anymore.

I slam the back of my head into the door as I begin to cry.

Damn it.. DAMN IT! DAMN YOU ECLIPSE!

I bury my face in my knees and continue to sob.

If only I had gotten there sooner... My love would still be here.
