Three very suspiciously sultry women came into the view of their men (and honorary cat boyfriend Alex sprawled across their laps). Suddenly video games became pointless and furthermore uninteresting.
Anna was the first to speak, her rainbow dress exchanged for something similar, but very see through and very distracting. "Do you boys know what day it is today?"
They exchanged panicked glances. Was today some special event or worse, an anniversary?
"U-uh yeah, of course we do," Hazel lied.
Adam perked up, desperate to latch onto it before he got caught in the crossfire. "Yeah, we have something planned."
Connie, honestly barely clothed in that unnecessarily short crop top and jean shorts, narrowed her eyes at Steven. "You do?"
His friends knew he was a terrible liar, but it was hard to try and get him not to crack when the pressure was evident. Jasmin was practically wearing lingerie too in that sheer top with pasties and rare mini skirt, so there was no modicum of safety in looking to her for help either.
Steven tried, he really did, but between raking his gaze over the three women and then back to his future wife he sighed. "Alright. You got us."
"We have no idea what day it is today. I-I swear I have anniversaries on my phone so it's not that, right?" Jacob asked hopefully. He blew out a breath and sat down his controller as they all smiled.
The girls giggled at some unknown joke that once again made the men wonder if they could speak to each other telepathically. Which, if that were the case, was unfair. They leaned down and took turns planting a sweet kiss on every one of their cheeks then rejoining to survey their red, confused but enamored faces.
"Have men always been this stupid?" Jasmin chuckled, pinching Jacob's cheek. He nodded wordlessly, oblivious to the others doing the same. "It's November 23rd, National Polyamory Day."
"We reminded you several times. Steven you mixed a track for us."
Steven groaned. "Shit."
Hazel and Adam smirked. "We already knew that," Adam chuckled. "We just conveniently forgot as soon as you guys started enforcing No Nut November."
"Maybe," Anna crouched so they were eye level. "Maybe we decided we're done with all that."
Four eyes lit up with excitement but Jasmin and Connie couldn't keep their own contained any longer.
"Come on, then. We have a song for you guys."
So there they were, four slightly confused but excited boyfriends (and Alex) eagerly sitting and watching their women prepare.
"You guys totally forgot. Shameless losers," Alex laughed.
Steven tried to mask his frustration unsuccessfully and scowled a bit. "You forgot too, Doll."
Alex chuffed and pulled out his phone to present to them. Four annoyed pairs of eyes locked onto Alex's until he blushed.
"And you didn't say anything?" An exasperated Jacob kind of wanted to strangle him, just for a second. Maybe two.
Alex shrugged smugly. "I have my own plans."
A knock at the window made them quickly scramble to put their headphones on.
"Sorry," Adam said angelically. "The other four were arguing while I was acting like a respectable man and patiently awaiting your readiness."
Jasmin snorted and blew him a kiss. "Adam's truly the man of the house. You boys should take notes."
