You gave me so many reasons to leave.
Yet I chose to stay.
You said you love her.
I said, I will still love you.
You said she's the love of your life.
I said, I've never known what it was like to feel love before you.
You said she hurts you.
I said, I'll help you heal.
You made me believe
that you'll be mine one day.
So I was creating illusions to stay,
justifying all my scars,
because I loved the one holding the scalpel.
