and now Walter Strickler or Stricklander according to Bular and Gunmar in the show, finally makes an appearance. And in case anyone is wondering I will mention Jim in this chapter but he won't have a significant role other than a name drop. Also in case anyone is wondering this chapter takes place around the same time as "To Catch a Changeling" except Jim has no idea what changelings are and he isn't searching for any with Toby at school since he isn't the trollhunter in this AU.

It has been a few weeks since the night that Bular first found and cared for the whelp. Ever since then he has spent more time dedicated to caring for the growing whelp while keeping his existence hidden from the other changelings or more specifically a certain changeling. Recently Stricklander has noticed Bular's sudden change in behavior... again, But this time his change of behavior might cause Stricklander to start prying for answers instead of just ignoring him and taking advantage of his weakness.
Bular was thankful that the next meeting was only going to be for a short while. As soon as Stricklander first noticed the first signs of his depression the power hungry changeling had gradually made it so that Bular's involvement in their mission less and less. At least the meeting was going to take place during the whelp's naptime... but he still felt uneasy leaving the whelp alone with no one other than goblins to as the humans refer to it as "Babysitting" the whelp while he is gone.
Bular takes in one last deep breath as he leaves his hideout and makes his way to the history Museum praying that he doesn't cross paths with Kanjigar on the way there... all he wanted to do was go in and out of the meeting and return to his lair as soon as possible with no delays.
( fast forward to after Bular made it to the musuem)
Much to Bular's surprise, Stricklander was late to the meeting. When he asked Nomura if she knew any potential reason as to why was Stricklander uncharacteristically late all the changeling museum curator did was shrug stating that it wasn't any of her business. On the one hand Bular felt furious that the impure treated him with such disrespect but at the same time he shouldn't have been that surprised that Normura was unafraid to treat him like this... after all the only reason that most of the changelings started to become less afraid of him was due to his own weakness over the past few weeks.
When Stricklander finally arrived Bular noticed that the impure was muttering the name " Jim " under his breath. Then he remembered that Jim Lake was Stricklander's favorite student and the rumors spreading amongst the other changelings that Stricklander had started to court a human woman by the name of Barbara Lake... Bular felt a little bit of his old self return as he started plotting ways to spy on impure using the goblins to get as the humans call it " Black mail"... if he wanted to keep the whelp secret from the rest of the Janus order then he had to ensure that he had ways of stopping the impure pursuit of his secrets .
