( this chapter takes during the events of " Adventures In Trollsitting" )
Bular looked at the calendar that he " borrowed " from the Arcadia Oaks history museum break room as he was bottle feeding the whelp in his arms. It has been a few days since he last attended the meeting. For now Bular didn't have to worry about attending another one for long while and he never felt more relieved to be given the excuse to stay away from Stricklander and the rest of the impures for as long as possible.
As Bular looked down at the whelp he felt a sense of peace and accomplishment seeing how much the little one has grown since the first day he found him. While he was burping the whelp Bular started to think about the scene with Stricklander and Nomura back at the museum. He still couldn't believe that Stricklander was trying to convince Nomura to join him in a conspiracy to rebel against the Gumm-gumm trolls and create " a world where changelings are in control".
The mere thought was laughable... but it still didn't change the fact that Stricklander was trying and now the fool thinks that by sending another changeling to Arcadia from the Darklands would actually help the impure in his endeavors... another troll whelp that was taken from their families and altered with unspeakable magic for selfish gains.
Bular almost slapped himself in the face for having such intrusive thoughts, why was he even thinking these thoughts in the first place. Changelings were impure beings that serve no other purpose other than obeying their masters. This is what Bular has internalized ever since Morgana first presented her changeling spies to his father even the trolls of Heartstone Trollmarket thought so to... so why was he feeling pity for them for the first time in centuries.
As soon as he felt the Whelp clinging on his shoulder Bular felt his worries about his questioning beliefs melting away. While the past couple of weeks have been nothing but eventful for Bular it didn't change how he felt that all of his efforts were more than worth it just to have the whelp provide him some peace from all that troubled his mind...
( Meanwhile at a certain Vespa Store)
Jim and Toby were admiring one of the Vespa's being displayed in the store front window when Jim caught a glimpse of a little green creatures running on the roof top of one of the adjacent stores carrying a bundle in it's arms... a bundle that looked like a baby But the second that he turned around to get a better look at what he thought he saw the creature had disappeared from his line of sight. While Toby told his best friend that he didn't see anything and concluded that it was a figment of Jim's imagination... right
