Nyx's POV

Our kiss was interrupted by my phone. "Off it," Azrael mumbled into our kiss. I laughed at him and gave another peck on his lips because he was pouting. I rubbed off the lipgloss on his lips, laughing, and he glaredat me.

"Yes, Mr. Brown?" I said, looking at my phone. "Ma'am, you have a shoot tomorrow," he informed. "Mr. Brown, whoever it is, tell them I am on a break, and it won't be possible until at least the coronation," I told him. "Yes, ma'am," he replied and cut the call.

"Why are you glaring at me?" I asked Azrael, and he just kissed me without giving an explanation. After the kiss, he had lipgloss all over his lips. When I lifted my hands to wipe it, he caught my hand and said, "Don't rub it; you rub the kiss away," pulling me closer to him. I just laughed at him and rubbed the gloss from his lips.

"You owe me a kiss!" he yelled as I walked away from him to the dressing room to check my look. He came behind me, hugging me and telling me that I looked beautiful. I replied with a simple thank you.

"What are we going to tell our friends and your parents?" I asked him. "Nothing at dinner. If they ask, we will say we are friends." I looked at him in the mirror and questioned, "Are we friends?" Indicating his hug and the kiss we shared before.

"We are more than friends, but they need not know that. If we decide to take it further, we will tell them. Now, don't stress your head with it," he said, kissing my forehead. I hummed in agreement as he led the way for us to head out for dinner.

Soon, we entered the dining hall to find Alexander and Arabella sitting at the table. As our friends joined, guided by the butler, I couldn't help but express my excitement, "Oh my god, you people look amazing!" I hugged them warmly.

Azrael sat adjacent to his father, Alexander, and Ethan and Gabriel took their seats next to him. I sat down next to Arabella, while Harper chose the seat beside me. "You look amazing," I complimented Arabella receiving a warm reply in return.

I noticed Harper and Gabriel exchanging glances, their eyes locked on each other. I shifted my gaze between the two, then cleared my throat. "Do you both want to tell something?" Ethan asked, pointing at the two of them. Harper blushed, and Gabriel wouldn't meet his eyes.

"Gabriel, are you hooking up with my sister?" Ethan asked, his frown evident. Gabriel confidently responded, "We both like each other." Excitement overcame me, and I happily pulled Harper into a side hug. Although Ethan was clearly displeased, he decided to refrain from causing a scene at the dinner table.

Arabella and Alexander excused themselves, citing work to attend to. "The three of us are going to talk," Ethan announced as the king and queen left. Azrael and I offered to join, but Ethan declined, and we nodded in understanding. A butler arrived, and Azrael suggested taking them to the garden for a more peaceful conversation. I hugged Harper and Gabriel, offering a whispered plea to Ethan to go easy on them. He simply responded with a mysterious "We will see."

Observing Azrael and Harper engage in conversation, mostly with him trying to calm her down, I went to Gabriel. "Don't leave her, okay?" I said, looking at them, and he assured me with a determined "Never." I smiled appreciatively at him. Soon, they all left the room.

"Come on, let's go," Azrael said, placing his hand on my back and guiding me to his room. We soon arrived, and he locked the door, pulling me into a tight hug. "You don't know how much I was controlling myself at dinner," he confessed, kissing my neck and sending shivers down my spine. He pulled away, pecking my lips before removing his coat and tossing it onto the bench. Sitting on the bed, he gestured for me to join him, and I hugged him. His hands traced the back of my thighs, teasingly moving toward my ass. Eventually, he pulled me onto his lap, my legs circling his waist, and our eyes met. "I love you," I declared, gazing into his eyes. "I love you too, Nyx," he replied, kissing me passionately.

As I started to grind on his hard-on, he interrupted, "Play carefully, Nyx." His eyes filled with lust, I stopped and smiled, kissing his forehead, eyes, nose, cheeks, and finally, his lips. Just then, a knock echoed through the door, and both of us groaned in frustration. Azrael kissed my head, asking, "Who is it?" The reply came from Arabella, "Your mom. Open the door." We sighed at the interrupted moment. "No one will leave us alone," he remarked as I got off his lap and went to open the door.

I settled onto his bed as Arabella entered the room, bombarding Azrael with questions. "Have you seen Nyx? Where is she? Not in her room, did she mention going out?" The banter ceased when she noticed his silence, and she shot him a glare. "Why on earth do you have lipgloss on?" She inquired sharply. "And why do you smell like Nyx? What's with your messed-up hair?" His response was a nonchalant, "Mother, what do you want?"

"If you look properly, you'll find her in the room," he added, directing Arabella's attention toward where I sat. Rising, I approached her, and she pulled me into a hug, mumbling, "You smell like my son." I chuckled, reciprocating the embrace. "You wanted to tell me something?" I inquired. "Yes, I need your help with the coronation arrangements," she replied. "No problem, Ethan, Gabriel, and Harper will join in," I assured her.

"Now that it's settled, can you leave?" Azrael interrupted, earning glares from both of us. He sighed, relenting, "Fine, but first, tell me what the hell is happening between the two of you." I glanced at Azrael, unsure of what to say, and he stepped in, "We love each other, Mother." "In a relationship I didn't know about?" she asked. "It happened today, so calm down," Azrael reassured her, prompting her to leave the room.

"Nyx," Azrael began, and I responded affirmatively. "Do you want to stay here for the night?" he inquired, and I sarcastically retorted, "And be woken up by people knocking on the door, finding me in your bed? Yeah, right."
He glared at my attitude, remarking, "Only if there was a door to connect both the rooms." Confused, I looked at him until he sighed, revealing a hidden door behind a bookshelf. "See, door." "Why didn't you tell me when your mother came?" I asked. Azrael replied, "She'll find out anyway. Now calm down and answer my question. Do you want to stay here tonight?" "Of course, babe," I happily responded. "Go change and come," he instructed, and I gladly headed to my closet to freshen up.

I changed into a cozy sweatshirt and shorts, settling comfortably on his bed. Azrael emerged from the restroom, wearing only shorts, and jokingly asked, "Done checking me out?" I responded with a playful, "No, can you give me a spin?" Turning my fingers at him. "Careful," he warned, noting my attitude. Ignoring his caution, I retorted, "I'm always careful." He teased, "Do you plan on killing me?" Confused, I glanced at him, and he chuckled, pulling me onto the bed, kissing me and reassuring, "Nothing to worry your brain about."

Rolling my eyes, I checked my phone, finding a message from Ethan about everything being fine. I sent a thumbs-up. "We should tell our friends before someone else spills the beans," I suggested to Azrael. "How about breakfast on the roof?" he proposed. I nodded, and he pulled me close, typing a group message for breakfast at 10 on the roof. "Come on, let's sleep," he suggested, and as soon as my head hit the pillow, I drifted off. I felt his kiss on my head, accompanied by a whispered "I love you," and peacefully dozed off snuggling into him.
