Emilia was balling as she hit your chest, your eyes welling up with tears as you wanted to comfort her but didn't want to upset her more as you knew the value of letting someone have their emotions. You couldn't believe how callous and stupid you ended up being. When you did your "impregnation tour" you had thought everything was perfectly timed and calculated and fair. And yet, you didn't even bother to see Emilia, she had slipped through. Maybe it was because she was filming at the time? But then again, you went out of your way to show up for the others who also were. The truth was plain and simple, to her and to you now.

You had simply forgotten. A month plus and not once did Emilia cross your mind as you went from woman to woman in their chance to have your child. Emilia was beyond hurt, and while she put on a brave face for the following months, the strike had given her too much time to dwell on it. She asked if it was because Nathalie was better. Maybe you were too hung up on Alexandra. She was screaming for an answer, for anything to help salve the pain. But you couldn't give her that. You admitted as much, watching the anger turn to sadness as you grabbed her hands but she pulled them away. You nodded and took a big gulp as you said you fucked up.

And that you probably will again, to someone else because you're not perfect. Caity was gone because of you, Sofia was gone because of you. If Emilia had to leave, you weren't gonna blame her. In fact you would hope that she would. Because she was worth it, because who wouldn't have wanted to have a child with the mother of dragons. She dragged you with a cold reminder that you didn't. And it stung worse than any knife to the heart because you had no comeback. There was a deafening silence as you both stood silently while fighting back ugly tears.
