Kennedi POV:
After my mom takes my car keys I call Mahogany and Aushrea and tell them what happened. After I tell them about how my mom practically grounded me they tried to calm me down and told me to go about it positively. After I get off the phone I look at the picture of me and Yuna at our school sneaker ball in 8th grade. Then the tears start to form. I miss her so much, the night she was shot changed my whole perspective on life. When she died I changed, forever. It broke me. And I never want to go back to that dark place.
I sit on my bed and think about all the times we had together. From her telling me I'm beautiful when I didn't feel like it, to her encouraging me to talk to guys when I was scared. To us getting ready for the party that night. Yuna, this is when I need you most.
Melo POV:
I wake up and take a shower. When I get out I put on some clothes and head downstairs for breakfast.
"Good morning Melo" My mom says as I walk in the kitchen
"Morning" I say as I sit down at the table
"How'd you sleep?" She asks me
"Good, I guess." I say pouring my cereal in my bowl
"You guess?" She asks me as she walks over to the table "what's wrong?"
"Nothing mom" I say "I'm fine"
"You don't sound fine" she says sitting down across from me
"I am fine" I say taking a sip of my orange juice
"Ok, well I gotta get to work, love you sweetheart" She tells me as she kisses my forehead
I say "I love you too"
"I'll see you tonight, you'll be home right?
"Yeah, I'm probably gonna go over to Tae's house" I tell her
"Ok, just make sure to text me so I know where you are." She tells me
" I will" I tell her
About an hour after my mom leaves I get a text...from Deion?
Deion🫤: yo
Me: yo?
Deion🫤: I can't text you?
Me: I mean you did ignore when I told you thank you at the party so now I don't even know where you stand on our friendship
Deion🫤: This coming from the guy who thought my Bm was lying about being pregnant
Me: most pregnant girls' friends don't ask them to go smoke with them so 🤷🏾♂️. I was looking out for you, but obviously she's actually pregnant so..
Deion🫤: Ye, she is
Deion🫤: And our baby gonna need a god father, so..
Me: I don't think that the friend who didn't believe the baby was real should be the god father
Deion🫤: Imma js give you some time to think on it
What did I js tell this nigga? He does not take no for an answer.
Tre POV: I'm chilling with Miya at her house on the couch smoking and watching anime. She got a lot of cool shows, like I didn't even know people watched this shit. Then I get caught in the moment and she catches me staring at her.
"What, I got some on my face or is it my face in general" She laughs
"N-n-nah just, damn. Pass the blunt lil bro" I laugh
"Boy hush, yo one puff taking ass" She laughs
"Damn that's how you do me" I say with a laugh
She laughs and passes me the blunt and we continue to watch the anime.
Melo POV:
I decided to go to Fireball by myself for a little to hang out alone for the day. I order some food and sit at the bar to wait for my food. While I'm sitting there I get a text.
Tavon 🫢: where you at?
Me: at Fireball by myself.
Tavon 🫢: why by yourself? Where Tae
Me: I just wanted some me time.
Tavon 🫢: cool cool.
Me: you good?
Tavon 🫢: yeah, just thinking about everyone and was checking in
Me: oh ok
After I cut off my phone I see Romeo is the one bringing my food, I forgot his ass work here. He puts my food down in front of me and tells me it's on the house.
"Thanks man" I tell him
"No problem" he says "how are you?"
"I'm good, how about you?" I say
"Coolin" He tells me
"Hey about what I said at the party, I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have said that, it was just in the heat of the moment." I tell him
"Hey, it's all good. Look, we got past it right. I didn't drop your food on purpose" He laughs
I laugh and say, "yeah, I know"
He smiles and walks off. My food was good but I can't help but wonder why I didn't think to ask if he was okay. I feel bad about what I said, and I just wanted him to know. I hope he knows.
Tavon POV:
I'm laying in my bed with Aushrea as we're watching Netflix. My mom called and said she would be home in a few hours. I turn to Aushrea and ask her, "So what you wanna do today?"
"I dunno, just chill. We could go get food" She says
"Ight, let's do that then" I tell her
We get up and we head outside.
"You driving or we riding in my car?" I ask
"Riding in yours" She says as we get in my car
I drive for about 20 minutes until we get to a diner. When we get inside we sit down and I look at the menu. We decide what we want and we order. Aushrea POV:
Me and Tavon are sitting in the restaurant waiting on our food and he looks at me.
"What you thinking about" I ask
"Nothing, just how much I love you" He says
"Aww, I love you too bae" I say as I lean over the table and kiss him
"What you think about that college thing" I ask him
"I mean, I don't really know yet, what about you?" He asks me
"I'm not sure, I mean it would be nice but it's kinda far" I tell him
"I know, I mean we're graduating soon" He says
"Yeah, that's true" I say "I was thinking of just staying home with my mom and waiting a little until I figure it out. You should do what you think is right for you."
"That's what I'm thinking too" He tells me
The waitress brings us our food and we start eating. We finish up our food and we leave the restaurant.
