Carl's pov

I don't know what this girl has done to me that has gotten me thinking of her and staring at her whenever I see her. It's been a long time since a girl has made me feel this way.

I was having a very serious conversation with Damian when something told me to scan the crowd, I did and that's when I saw her looking as radiant as ever.

I gave her a once-over, she was just too hard to resist looking at. I noticed she was affected by my gaze by the rose colour of her cheeks that began forming.

Just looking at her alone was enough for me to get bored watching the football game, I wanted to watch her instead and nothing else.

Her boyfriend next to her had said something to her and I didn't like the way she smiled at him while talking to him, she was supposed to be smiling at me and me alone. Just the thought of her with another man other than me was making my blood boil.

I turned away for a couple of seconds, I didn't want her to see me looking pissed as hell. I turned back to look at her but the crowd passing blocked my vision of her. By the time everyone had gotten settled in, I saw her boyfriend walking away from her, curiosity wanted me to go after him and find out what his deal was with her, but then I decided against it. He's most likely to tell her about our encounter and I didn't want that happening.

Her boyfriend came back and he came with some drinks and snacks. She collected hers happily and didn't waste time diving into them.

She had finished eating and each time she stood up to cheer, she did that with all her enthusiasm. I couldn't help but smile a little, she was cute for doing that. It seemed it was her team winning from the amount of times she stood up. I wasn't happy that she was no longer looking at me, but it gave me time to watch her instead.

10 minutes later, the match was over and the sports commentator spoke "What a game we have witnessed here today. The home team have done it! They have beaten their rivals with a score of 3-0."

Some minutes later when the crowd had started dissipating, Damian and I were discussing where we were heading for dinner, his eyes were glued to his phone while talking, he most likely was chatting with his girlfriend. He didn't even notice I wasn't looking at him but at her instead.

As she stood up to leave, she turned to give me one last lingering gaze.

"Man, that was intense! Did you see the last-minute goal?", Damian asked me, finally away from his phone. "Yeah, it was epic!", I answered back. I didn't want him to know I wasn't focused on the game because he would start teasing me when he found out why. "Three-nil. They have been left in the dust. They won't forget this match anytime soon", he continued. "Yea. Alright let's head out and get food", I told him.

We had gotten food and just randomly strolled when I noticed I was dehydrated and needed to drink water. "Hey, I'm going to buy a bottle of water, wait for me over there", I told him and pointed to where he should wait for me. "Alright, cool, I'll be waiting", he responded.

I came out from the shop where I went to get a bottle of water. I was close to where Damian was and noticed him laughing and smiling with her and she was doing the same. "It should have been me she was doing that with", I thought to myself.

I didn't even bother talking with any of them. I just stayed at Damian's back and focused my attention on my phone. I wanted to say hi to her, but there wasn't a need to interrupt their precious conversation.

I carried on with using my phone to reply to my business messages but then I couldn't help but look up from my phone and stare at her. She looked at me but frowned and removed her face immediately. Deep down I was wondering why she did that, what happened to her holding my gaze as usual.

I noticed her boyfriend coming. It seemed she noticed him too, because she said her goodbyes to Damian and left to meet him without sparing me a last glance.
