February, 506 AD

My heart was still racing erratically and my body trembled as I stood in a corner of the room while I watched Louis and Marius place Uther down on his bed before backing away so that Gaius could begin assessing his health.

The King had calmed down significantly and he seemed to be speaking in hushed whispers, the meaning of which I couldn't make out from a distance.

Arthur and Morgana rushed inside moments later and they stood on the side of the bed opposite to the physician as their eyes ran over the King's blanched face.

I started when something warm was draped over my shoulders and I glanced over one of them to find that Merlin had been thoughtful enough to get my Avengers blanket from my room. My heart calmed down a little. "Are you all right?" he asked softly while wrapping me in his arms.

I let my head fall against his chest and nodded, "J-just shaken up... I-I didn't know what to do."

"Is he going to be all right?" Morgana asked Gaius in a reasonably worried tone.

"He should sleep until morning," the physician responded and he casted her a reassuring look before walking out of the room.

I watched as Morgana pulled Uther's covers further up his body and she grabbed his arm tenderly. I was once more reminded of my Uncle and I gulped while averting my gaze.

"Come on," Merlin whispered while he gently tugged me towards the door. I glanced at Arthur for a moment, noticing the troubled look on his features as he looked down at his father, before allowing my friend to lead me out, his arm remaining around my shoulders.

Gaius was waiting for us just outside and he gave me a small grin before also asking if I'm all right, earning the exact same response I gave my best friend. "What did you see?" he then asked gently.

"I-it was so weird," I responded in a whisper. "H-he was starin' down at the well, and then he started screaming, and he fell, and then he was suddenly crying, and saying his wife's name over n' over–"

"What could have made him like this?" I was cut off by Arthur, who was power-walking down the corridor to catch up with us.

Gaius glanced down at me for a moment before sighing and responding, "I have no idea."

"Gaius, he was lying on the ground crying!" Arthur pressed in an alarmed tone. He outstretched an arm towards me when he reached us and Merlin was quick to release me, allowing the Prince to pull me towards him, and I was brought into a warm hug. I wrapped my arms around his waist and let out a shaky sigh.

"Exhaustion," Gaius responded, sounding almost annoyed at the questions. What the heck is his problem? I guess it's a reasonable explanation, though... The combination of four stressful months and unwise amounts of alcohol could've brought on whatever strange attack the King had.
