Why am I here? I thought by coming here I could better myself for my wives and my family but all this place seems to do for me is rehash painful memories and bring about levels of frustration I really can do without.

I pace the floor while aimlessly searching my brain for some way out of this situation that would benefit us all.

"Ugh, this pacing isn't helping, if anything it's increasing my mounding frustration. It's been two weeks and it seems absolutely nothing has changed. The money laundering case is still ongoing and will probably continue until I'm deemed guilty because I cannot free myself without implementing someone that I love. Our private records are being exploited by the court system," I proclaim.

"Are you protecting your wife?" Droid 254 asks for the fifth time.

Droid 254 thinks that it can get the better of me by working under the false pretenses that this is a simple counseling session when in fact they'll use anything I say in court against me, but I've been in this place far too many times and am well versed in talking to simple machines that we programmed years ago.

"Why am I here? Why am I wasting my time? This will be my last visit" I reply out of frustration.

"Sir, please answer the question," Droid 254 says.

"How about asking something relevant," I say with a huff, "Fine. Adrienne got a 1.2 million dollar fine and a night in prison for destroying your brother droid but she did not steal money from anyone, nor does she need to. To answer your question, no I'm not protecting my wife. My sweetheart has been my strength."

"It's wonderful to be accepted by the plethorians we love. Is love the reason why you protect her?"

"She isn't guilty; to answer your question, love is why I'd protect anyone in my family."

"What about your second wife, Ever, is she guilty."

The Droid mentioning her name makes my skin crawl. I want to wring its neck.

"Don't say her name. She isn't guilty," I sternly say.

"How can you be sure?"

"Okay, one more word out of your fake mouth about my Ever and I will end you," I say as I stop pacing.

"Is that a threat sir?"

"Do you take it as such?"

"Yes. It also makes me wonder if she is the guilty party."

"She's an innocent. All of my family are. Change the subject or I leave."

"We will change the subject. Let's talk about her but not in the context of the crime."

"In what context?"

"Love."

"Augh, something you could never do," I say as I roll my eyes, "Fine," I say.

"You constantly declare your love for her but you have not yet mended your relationship."

"I'm working on it."

"What steps are you taking?"

"I'm working on being a better Plethorian. I can't possibly be a good husband if I can't properly demonstrate my love for my wives and lead them if I'm not together."

"Good for you for realizing that about yourself. What is keeping you from becoming a better Plethorian?"

"Life. My enemies. Recently I've been trying to keep myself away from the city and only go there for work purposes so that I do not have any accidental run-ins and get more jail time but that doesn't always happen. I'm forced to stay on this Island while the investigation goes on but I need to take vacation. One that I would like to take with my wives. I hurt Ever; the guilt is eating away at me and she hasn't responded to my letter," I say as I take a seat.
