Pete's Pov

As I stood there in silence, the sting of Selena's slap still lingering on my cheek, I couldn't help but feel the weight of my own foolishness. Making deals was supposed to be my thing, but here I was, letting people walk all over me without a second thought.

But then, out of nowhere, Vegas appeared before me, his presence both startling and intriguing. With an air of arrogance, he chastised me for my naivety, his words cutting through the silence like a knife.

"You are not only foolish, but very easygoing," he sneered, his tone dripping with disdain. "Letting her treat you like this... I thought making deals was only my thing."

I glared at him, his demonic aura sending shivers down my spine. "You're a demon," I muttered bitterly. "You'll never understand these feelings."

Vegas simply stared at me for a moment before reaching out and grabbing my cheek, his touch surprisingly gentle. Before I could react, he used his powers to heal the mark left by Selena's slap, his actions catching me off guard.

"I don't have a thing for seeing you miserable," he admitted, his voice softer than before.

But then, a glimmer of hope sparked within me as I noticed something different. "You got your powers back?" I asked, disbelief evident in my voice.

"I thought you'd never notice," he replied, his smirk widening. "But here's the catch – I can only use them when I'm around you."

Excitement bubbled up inside me, and I couldn't help but blurt out, "You can go back to hell now, right?"

Vegas's smirk faltered for a moment before he replied, "Not so fast, little witch. You see, you've bound me to you."

I shook my head in disbelief. "You're lying," I protested weakly. "This is just some demon game, right?"

But Vegas only chuckled, his amusement evident. "You summoned me, little witch," he reminded me. "Now you're bound to me, and I'll use my powers whenever I want – with or without your consent."

I felt a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach as the reality of my situation sank in. Bound to a demon, with no way out. It was a nightmare come to life, and I was trapped in its grasp.

But as Vegas smirked at my discomfort, I couldn't shake the feeling that this was only the beginning of something much darker and more dangerous than I could ever imagine.

As Vegas's words echoed in my mind, a sense of dread washed over me. Bound to a demon? It seemed impossible, yet the undeniable truth hung heavy in the air.

"But what about breaking the bond?" I pleaded, desperation creeping into my voice. "There must be a way to undo this."

Vegas's smirk turned into a wicked grin, sending a chill down my spine. "Oh, there's always a way," he said, his voice dripping with malice. "But it won't be easy, little witch. You see, breaking a bond like ours requires a sacrifice – one that you may not be willing to make."

My heart sank as I realized the gravity of our situation. Trapped in a twisted dance of power and control, with no way out but through the darkness that surrounded us.

But despite the fear gnawing at my insides, a flicker of determination ignited within me. I refused to let Vegas's manipulations dictate my fate. I may be bound to him, but I still had the power to fight back.

With newfound resolve, I met Vegas's gaze head-on. "I won't let you control me," I declared, my voice steady despite the tremble in my hands. "We may be bound together, but that doesn't mean I have to submit to your whims."

Vegas's grin widened, a glint of admiration shining in his eyes. "Spoken like a true witch," he remarked, his tone almost approving. "Perhaps there's more to you than meets the eye, little witch."

As we stood there, locked in a silent battle of wills, I knew that our journey was far from over.
