I stared at the sun outside the window reaching its peak. I bet it's hot outside. A different kind of warm from what Karma and I just shared here in his bedroom right when the day is just getting started.
"What do we do now?" I asked, turning my gaze to Karma whose arm is my pillow beside me.
"You love your work, right?"
Kumunot ang mga noo ko sa kanyang tanong. "Hmm, yeah. Why ask?"
Bumaba ang tingin niya sa aking mukha at pinaglaruan ng isang kamay niya ang buhok ko. "Do you have a lot of clients right now?"
"Define 'a lot'."
He grinned and bopped the tip of my nose with his index finger. "How much will it be if I want a project to be prioritized?"
Tumaas ang aking mga kilay at pinagmasdan ang kanyang mukhang nakangiti man ay walang bahid ng pagbibiro. "Are you going to hire me again?"
"Nah." He held my chin. "But there's someone I know who needs a landscape architect on the other side of the country. Far away from here."

I shared his chuckle and smiled as his lips brushed on mine. He gave me another kiss like our deal is sealed.
