I've got the Methadone clinic Monday morning blues,
Waiting room withdrawal battles as sickness ensues,
It's true we're addicts with a doctor that deals best he can,
And he titrates our drug levels despite our best laid plan,There's representation from every class of people,
From street walkers to clergy that live under a steeple,
There's scholars, consultants and construction workers too,
We small talk while waiting to stream pee in small cups it's true,But for me I'm grateful to have this caring team,
Cause addiction for some might echo a bad dream,
Please don't give up on your route to recover,
I'm sure there's strength in you yet to discover,When you feel that previously unknown scary feeling,
Take a deep breath and be proud that your dealing,
There's a thin line between hell, heaven and home,
They're all on earth inside the cerebral synaptosome.~ Farls Tokley
