Canada, a nation with a pioneering spirit,
A multicultural wonder foreigners do not fear it,
The people are fair minded and mostly honest,
Wide eyed in wonder for the lands beauty upon us,
We've spawned talented writers, actors, musicians and inventors,
Scientific discoveries are plentiful take your pick of mentors,
Proximity to ice made hockey a favourite pastime,
The best players are born here their skates turn on a dime,
The industrious beaver dams waterways to our benefit,
A mascot of our nation an exemplary environmentalist,
Nature can teach us much and we are rich in this regard,
Natural resources are abundant here so says this bard,
I'm thankful to live in Canada the greatest country,
That's right I bragged on the true north strong and free,
We may be polite but we are not pushovers,
So don't push your luck we have fields of four leaf clovers.
