Mother Earth has lungs made of green leaves,
Her vital capacity is shrinking as we bring in too many sheaves,
We have decided on her behalf to make her breathe exhaust smoke,
How would we feel if we were force fed fuel refuse and choked?
You'd cry out in anguish and scream bloody murder,
But we sit quiet and change the channel by infrared converter,
Out of sight out of mind is the soup of the day,
While ignorant memes chime in the stupidest of ways,
These ignoramuses don't realize we'll choke in the same fashion,
So why not replant breathing apparatus with compassion,
Or at least invent a replacement that will perform even better,
There are geniuses among us, there must be one go getter,
Greed is a purely evil contagious sickness,
Even I want return on investment for my written word slickness,
So consider this when it comes time to pay the poet,
Picture humans choosing carbon over oxygen but don't want you to know it.
