You walk on the land like your father owns it.

I sighed, leaning on the washbasin looking at my reflection. My words echoing again and again.

You walk on the land like your father owns it.

The tap was still on. My heavy breaths and the sound of water and my heavy breaths were the only thing I could hear right now. I walked out of the bathroom wiping my face after splashing it with water one more time.

This is my biggest low, I overthink a lot. I've tried to put this thought- her thought, the look on her face, the words I said- in the back of my mind but failed miserably. To relax, I've taken two cold showers and splahed my face with cold water but they also didn't bother to work too.

I sighed again sitting on the edge of my bed. 2:38 am the time when everyone was asleep in their comfy beds, even those who do not got a comfy bed are in a deep slumber then there's me. I tried. Tried to sleep, closed my eyes and laid on this comfy bed to no change.

I picked up the undone glass of scotch from my nightstand, and drank it in one go.

You walk on the land like your father owns it.

The guilt came burning down again my throat in the form of alcohol, slowly burning my heart, my emotions, my existence.

Fuck off Gavi. Just sleep. Who is she? She doesn't mean anything! Then why is the thought of hurting her nagging you so much! Huh?

No, it's not that, I couldn't sleep just because...because I mentioned the person she has lost barely some time ago.
I fought back inside my head.

Wow Gavi, you're insane too.

Call therapy.

I ran a hand on my face and picked up phone, calling Gerard, the only trusting person I know after Pedri.

Gerard keeps all the actions of my softwares in line and up to date, as I've university to focus on too. Yes I develop security softwares and then sell them to the most wanting marketing firms. University is like a side hobby for me, just to learn more. Beside softwares I have market shares too so this way I don't have to take my Father's money for the luxuries I attain. I even gave him every penny back which he spent on raising me.

I don't want a single penny or any favor of his, on me.

Gerard picked up at third ring, halting my thoughts to wander the snake, "what a great time to call Ga-"

"Name, Hazel Grace, doing Majors in Physics in my university. I want all her info tomorrow morning on my table." I cut to the chase fastly before my mind blow me once again with the pathetic sentence I said in the library.

You walk on the land like your father owns it.

"Desperate much? Was a good fuck?" He chuckled lowly. I shook my head at his statement. "No, I got into a fig- an argument with this lady so I need to know her weak points." Gerard pause his chuckle and started, "Okay and a friendly suggestion, Go get some, even your voice is so sexually frustrated. "

"Fuck you." I snarled. If it had been some other time, I would've laughed and said something more disrespectful but right now I'm not in the mood or state.

"No bro, I'm straight and got a wife."

I hung up the call listening this, knowing he might be laughing his ass off right now, thinking that he shut me up this time.

I'll take that back with interest, Gerard.

Now, I could sleep.
