Chapter 10

Grace once again as usual walks to her class and looks around before she goes to take attendance to know that Hugo once again missed her class.

She sighs knowing that he was just avoiding coming to her class.

After the class finishes, she goes to have a little chat with the principal about Hugo's absence.

"Yes" Norris asks as he looks from the file that he was checking on to find Grace knocking at the door

"I wanted to talk about Hugo and his absence which I think he is doing intentionally," she states directly to the point

"Grace, I think we did talk about this matter and I also said no need to worry about him" he sighs in frustration making her groan internally

"I know, we talked about this but don't you think we should do something on about it? If we do not take action, now then god knows what may happen to the kid two or three years from now...

He is growing up and someone needs to show him the right path before it's too late" she makes her point hoping he sees it the way she does but unfortunately he doesn't

"Sorry Grace, it will be better if you stayed away from the student's life. You are here to teach them what there is in the syllables not to be their mother hen who nags them on everything...

So, now if you will excuse me I have something more important to do than have this chit chat" he dismisses her just like that

Grace stomps out of his office in rage wishing she could go back and knock some sense into him but she cannot do that.

She could not believe her ears as to what he said.

"Nagging on like some mother hen," she grumbles closing her office door hard in anger

She paces back and forth in her office trying to calm herself, in her doing so she does not even hear her phone going off.

Once she feels she has some control back Grace seats down closing her eyes to calm herself.

She opens her eyes at the sound of her phone going off again, she goes to ignore it but the name on it makes her take it.

Therefore, taking some deep breathes she picks up the call.

"Hey Spence, how you doing?" she tries to sound cheerful but fails miserably

"Okay, what happened?" he asks her directly making her feel a bit better

"Nothing, just work stuff so why did you call?" she asks him instead but he doesn't let her change the topic so easily

"Just because we had a fight doesn't mean you can start to hide things from me Grace, so tell me what happened?" he asks her again with a sternness in his voice

"Oh, it's just one of my students I was just trying to help him out as he seems to be bullying some of his classmates and the principal is a jerk...

As he does not want anyone to get involved in school fights as the kid's dad is a big shot in here," she explains him with a sigh of tiredness

"Oh well, I am sure everything will work out don't stress yourself on such things" he tries to assure making her smile at that

"Oh well, forget about me why did you call?" she asks him instead

"Oh yes, well someone promised to message her school's name and address so we could meet but it seems she forgot about little old me" he teases her reminding she totally forgot about the message

"Oh so sorry, I will message you immediately. So, I will look forward to meeting to you later but right now I need to get to my class before my students start to think I bunked the class" she informs before disconnecting the call and sending him the address in a hurry
