Living in the Wrong Time

In the tapestry of time, a cruel design,
Where hearts entwine but fate declines.
Two souls, destined to meet, but not to be,
The right person, in the wrong time, we see.

Like ships passing in the dead of night,
Their love obscured by the absence of light.
Though feelings blossom, they must refrain,
Bound by the constraints of time's cruel chain.

Their connection deep, a spark ignites,
But circumstance dims the brightest lights.
They yearn to hold what they can't possess,
Caught in a moment of bittersweet distress.

In the wrong time, they must part ways,
Leaving behind what their hearts embrace.
But the echo of love, though dimmed by time,
Lingers on in the recesses of their mind.

For even as they go their separate ways,
The memory of love forever stays.
In another time, perhaps they'll find,
The right person, in synchrony aligned.
