Soobin assisted his parents in getting the meal ready until the sound of the doorbell interrupted their tasks. A wave of nervousness washed over him as he instantly realized who was on the other side of the door - Yeonjun.

Before even helping his parents, Soobin was in his room, staring intently into the mirror and getting himself ready for the forthcoming apology that he was about to say.

When Kara approached the door, she immediately noticed the expression of complete nervousness on Soobin's face. Letting out a sigh, she opened the door, revealing her boyfriend standing on the other side. However, she also couldn't help but catch the anxious demeanor displayed on Yeonjun's face as well.

Kara found it strange because Yeonjun, who she knows is typically confident and outgoing, was suddenly shy and nervous. This was so confusing.

She couldn't understand why he was acting so differently, especially considering that her boyfriend is known for his confidence. So why is he acting like this now?

"Babe? Are you okay?" Kara asked.

Yeonjun looked at her and smiled, "Yeah, why?"

"Just wondering." She said.

However, she couldn't shake the feeling that Yeonjun wasn't being completely honest with her. The anxiety and tension in his expression were impossible to ignore. As his girlfriend, she couldn't understand why he would choose to lie to her. Shouldn't trust and honesty be the foundation of their relationship?

She let out a sigh. Maybe he would tell her later? With that thought in mind, she released his hand and resumed her helping in preparing dinner. "Come here, babe."

As Yeonjun made his way into the kitchen, his heart raced with anticipation and dread as he laid eyes on the one person he had been longing to see, yet simultaneously wishing to avoid at all costs - Choi Soobin.

He found himself frozen, unable to move a muscle upon seeing Soobin once more. Had Soobin always been this... pretty? He thought silently.

"Babe? Earth to Yeonjun?" Kara yelled a little.

Without any delay, Soobin swiftly shifted his gaze upwards, only to find Yeonjun glancing at him. Yeonjun promptly averted his eyes, yet the intensity of their hearts racing uncontrollably was palpable to both of them.

"Oh right, Soobin, shouldn't you and Yeonjun talk?" Kara said.

Soobin looked at his sister after what she had just said. Right now?! Soobin isn't prepared for this! Just not yet!

However, just as Soobin was about to utter a word to Kara, he felt a strong grip on his hand, pulling him forcefully towards the staircase. Panic surged through his veins as he realized what was going on, "Oh no, this is actually happening," he muttered under his breath, his mind racing with a whirlwind of thoughts.

As he is pushed onto his bed, he notices Yeonjun shutting the door. Now, he is faced with the dilemma of whether to be the first one to apologize or if Yeonjun will take the initiative.

Fuck it I'll just say it, he thought.

"Hyung, I'm sorr-" Soobin was cutoff.

"I'm sorry, Soobin." Yeonjun said.

Soobin's eyes filled with surprise as he heard Yeonjun's apology. Yeonjun then walked over to his bed and took a seat right beside him, positioning himself to face Soobin directly.

"Look, Bin," Yeonjun started. "I'm sorry for yelling at you like that. I get it. You just really wanted to hang out with Huening Kai, and I also really didn't mean what I said about Huening Kai. I was just so... upset that youwantedtohangoutwithhim." Yeonjun mumbled the last few words quickly as he looked down.

Soobin gasped slightly. He didn't expect this from Yeonjun. "Hyung, I'm also sorry. I didn't mean to make you feel that way." Soobin explained.

"If I'm being honest, I really missed you." Soobin said, causing Yeonjun to gasp and look up at him.

The atmosphere was heavy with tension as the two locked eyes, their gazes unwavering. Slowly, Yeonjun reached out his hand, extending it towards Soobin's face in a gentle caress. Although initially taken aback, Soobin couldn't help but love the feeling. So the only thing he did was lean into his touch.

It stayed like that for a while until Yeonjun began to lean in even closer, causing Soobin to match his movements. Their faces were now dangerously close, with the sensation of each other's breath brushing against their lips. Yeonjun closed his eyes, inching even closer towards Soobin.

The door opens...

Without wasting a moment, Soobin and Yeonjun hastily retreated to their initial spots, their hearts racing, and their cheeks flushed with embarrassment. Their eyes anxiously scanned the room to identify the person responsible for opening the door, and to their surprise, it was none other than Kara.

"Hey, did you guys make it up?" Kara asked.

"Y- Yeah! We are all good now!" Soobin explained and exited the room quickly.

Kara watched as Soobin hurriedly exited the room, leaving her feeling confused by the sudden leave. She turned her gaze back to Yeonjun, who sat there appearing somewhat sad? "Did you guys actually make it up?" She crosses her arms.

Yeonjun nodded, "Yeah... of course we did." Yeonjun said as he got up. "Food ready yet?"

Kara gave a nod of agreement, and then she and Yeonjun proceeded to make their way downstairs in order to prepare themselves for their meal.

Oh boy, Soobin was feeling incredibly uneasy as he sat at the dining table. He couldn't even bring himself to eat, his stomach churning with the memory of almost kissing Yeonjun. The tension between them was palpable, and it was all he could think about in that moment.

There was a tense moment of anticipation as they leaned in for a kiss. The thought of what would happen if their lips actually met raced through his minds. His heart pounded in his chest, the sound almost deafening. Yeonjun's gaze only added to the confusion swirling in Soobin's mind. The unanswered questions flooded his thoughts, causing a whirlwind of emotions in his brain.

"Bin-ah, are you okay?" His mom asked, making him come out of his trance.

He nodded while picking up his chopsticks and scooping some rice onto his plate. Despite the fact that Yeonjun's gaze was still fixed on him, he continued to eat his meal.

"Bin, stop eating so fast, or you'll choke." His dad said.

He was completely unaware of how quickly he was eating his food. And jt was all because of the stupid kiss they almost had! But he couldn't understand why this was happening. He desperately needed to find a way to calm his racing thoughts and regain control.

"Excuse me, I need to clear my mind." He stood up from his seat and went outside to hopefully clear his mind.

Yeonjun could obviously tell Soobin was feeling uncomfortable, as he was also not feeling his best. He was doing the most he could to ignore the almost-kissing incidents between him and Soobin. Moreover, he couldn't even understand why he had even leaned in towards Soobin in the first place. What made it worse was that it had happened twice!

Kara slightly leaned close to Yeonjun and whispered, "Are you sure you guys made up?" She asked. Yeonjun nodded.

Kara nodded as well as she glanced over at Soobin, who was still outside with his hands covering his face, deep in thought.
