Wave's POV:

As I sat at my desk, pen in hand, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and apprehension. August had promised to take me 'back to school' shopping before the start of the new school year. And as someone who loves shopping and new school supplies, I couldn't wait.

But as I glanced at the list of things I needed to buy, my excitement turned to confusion. Both of our parents were at work and my brother, Tyler, had gone to play video games with his new friend. But I don't understand why he had to take Pip, his pet Guinea pig, with him if he hated leaving his cage.

I mean, unless his friend wants to see him or something- I dunno, but I'm not complaining, haha.

I shook my head, shrugging off the thought as I focused on my list. I had to make sure I didn't forget anything. The last thing I wanted was to show up on the first day of school unprepared.

I quickly jotted down the remaining items before letting August know I was ready. I could almost hear him grinning through the phone when he said, "Ready for our shopping spree, little sis?"

I grinned back, feeling a surge of gratitude for my older brother. "Definitely. Thanks for taking me," I replied.

August chuckled. "No problem. It's my duty as the best big brother in the world.'" I rolled my eyes at his self-proclaimed title but couldn't help but feel grateful for his company.

As we made our way through the aisles of the store, I couldn't help but feel that familiar back-to-school excitement. August and I laughed and joked as we picked out school supplies and clothes. And even though our parents couldn't be here, I was grateful to have my brother by my side.

As we headed to the checkout, I couldn't resist making one last comment about Tyler taking Pip with him. "What's with Tyler taking Pip on a playdate? I thought he hated leaving his cage."

August chuckled. "He does, but Tyler's new friend is allergic to dogs and cats, so he wanted to bring a pet that wouldn't make him sneeze."

I couldn't help but shake my head in amusement at my brother's thoughtfulness. "Well, at least Pip gets to have a fun day out."

August ruffled my hair. "Just like you, little sis."

I smiled, grateful for my brother's love and support. As we headed home with our bags full of new school supplies, I couldn't wait for the new school year to begin, knowing I had everything I needed and the best brother in the world by my side.

As August and I strolled down the cobblestone streets, I couldn't help but take in the charming atmosphere of the town. The warm sun was shining down on us, and the sound of people chatting and birds chirping filled the air.

We passed by a couple of shops and restaurants, but I was focused on our destination - the store with all the things I needed. I quickly pulled out my list and read through it for what felt like the hundredth time, making sure I didn't forget anything.

I excitedly grabbed the items and placed them in the basket August was holding for me. "Thanks, Auggie. I couldn't have done this without you," I said gratefully.

After we finished our shopping, August suggested we take a look around and explore the town a little more. I agreed, knowing there were so many cute cafés and shops to discover.

We popped into a few cafés and other shops, and I couldn't resist trying on some clothes at the clothing stores with the most well-known brands. "Look at this dress, August! It's so pretty," I exclaimed, holding up a flowy sundress.

August shook his head with a smile. "Remember our budget, Wave. Let's not go overboard."

But my love for shopping had taken over, and I ended up buying a few pairs of clothing for myself. "Just a few things won't hurt, right?" I justified.

As we made our way back to our home, August couldn't help but tease me. "Well, at least you'll have plenty of options to wear now."

I laughed and rolled my eyes. "I just can't help it. Shopping is my weakness. You'd do the same for Aurora if she was here."

August chuckled, nodding with agreement as he ruffled my hair once again. "You know, you're not wrong."

As I made my way up the stairs towards my room, I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over me. Another long day of school was over and I couldn't wait to just relax and unwind. Dumping my books and papers onto my bed, I let out a sigh of contentment.

But as I grabbed my trusty pink backpack, I knew my work wasn't done yet. I carefully organized all of my school supplies, making sure everything was in its designated place. I've always been a stickler for organization, it just makes everything easier.

Once my backpack was packed and ready for the upcoming day in just a few weeks, I beamed with joy. I loved the feeling of being prepared and ready to conquer whatever challenges the next day may bring.

As I tried on my new clothes, I couldn't help but smile even wider. They fit perfectly and I felt like a whole new person. I carefully placed them on my vanity, admiring how they looked on me.

With a soft smile, I marked the last item off of my to-do list. It was a satisfying feeling knowing that I accomplished everything I set out to do today. I couldn't wait what the future holds for me.

As I stepped into the warm shower, I let out a content sigh. The warm water cascaded down my body, soothing my exhaustingly tired muscles. I wash my hair with my favorite strawberry scented shampoo, the sweet aroma filling the air. And as I washed myself, I couldn't help but think about the night ahead.

After a long week of unpacking and settling into my new home in Paris, I was actually finally ready to relax and unwind. I quickly dried myself off and slipped into my pink pajamas, my new favorite ones that August recently bought for me. I then tied my long pink hair up into a messy ponytail, not wanting to bother with drying or styling it.

With a flick of a switch, my LED lights lit up my room in a soft pink glow. It was one of my most favorite features, and it made me feel cozy and at peace. I turned on the TV and put on my favorite movie, a romantic comedy that just always happens to make me laugh.

I made my way downstairs to the kitchen, grabbing a bag of popcorn from the pantry and placing it in the microwave, humming along to the theme song of the movie playing in the background.

While the popcorn was popping, I couldn't help but reflect on my life since the move. It was a big change, moving from a well-known area in America to the bustling city of Paris. But I couldn't deny that things were going well for me.

I make my way back upstairs, popcorn in my hand, Paris following closely behind. I plopped down on my bed, the familiar scent of my childhood bedroom bringing a wave of nostalgia while Paris snuggled up next to me, purring contently as I devoured my popcorn.

With a smile on my face, I finally settled in to watch the movie. I couldn't wait to make new memories in my new home and to be honest, I was grateful for the opportunity to start fresh. And as I drifted off to sleep that night, I couldn't help but feel excited for what the future had in store for me.
