I used to think that receiving a book dedicated to me would have a big impact on me, since I had been wanting that even before meeting you. But meeting you, getting to know you, and being with you made me realize that receiving something like that wasn't my wish at all. It was the feeling that I had been searching for-the feeling of knowing that someone makes me feel loved. It was you who made me feel that way, Cal. Thank you for that : )
You broke down the walls I had been building, wiped away the tears from my cheeks, brought color to my previously blinded eyes, and calmed the storms I had been trying to hide. You made me feel so special that I was so eager to write something for you to let you know how much I appreciate you (this is how I say I love you) You made me do things I didn't know I was capable of, like writing a short book for a guy.
