I pushed open the door of an apartment downtown, entered, and without flaw, there he stood in his kitchen, two glasses with a bottle of wine on the island in front of him. His gray eyes slightly widen, shock written all over his features. "Finally." He scoffed. "Did you want me to get on my knees and beg for your attention?"

I roll my eyes, closing the door behind me. "No, I was busy. I'm a businesswoman, Dominik. I don't have a lot of free time on my hands." I explain, dropping my coat and purse on the nearest sofa.

"And you're saying you wouldn't make an effort to make time for me?" He asks, pouring the wine into the two glasses. "Well, it's not like we're dating. I sit on a bar stool that stands in front of the island accepting the wine glass. "Besides, I'm engaged."

He shrugs his shoulders, sipping on the wine.

"Dominik." I stare him down. "I came here to shut this off." I gesture between the two of us. "You were supposed to be a one-night stand. Nothing more, nothing less. I don't want to be an asshole but, that's how it is."

He flickers a mischievous gaze at me. "And here I thought you were going to make up for all the days you spent ignoring me." He cocks his head to the side, a smirk on his face.

I shrug. "Not good at communication."

He walks around the island toward me, standing too close for my comfort. I put more distance between us, despite my attraction to him. "I have to respect the relationship I have with my fiance. It's nothing personal, I hope you understand." I down my wine, and stand walking to get my things, but he blocks my path.

His hand rises, and he plays with a curl close to my neck. "It's okay. I'm used to people blowing me off." He smiles, his eyes on my neck. "I'm guessing he's the one who marked you."

Guilt rushes down on me. "I'm sorry." I apologize, my hand on his arm as some form of comfort. Never been good at it, and I feel like crap now.

His smile drops. "Are you? How do I know you're being honest?" He tilts his head in question. I look to the side. "You'll have to trust my word for it."

He tsks. "Not much of a reassurance, is it?" He walks around me, his hand circling my waist and pulling me close. "My feelings are hurt Tatuyanna. What are you going to do to remedy the damage done?"

My pulse picks up. "You're barking up the wrong tree. I'm not the 'reassuring' type. Especially to men I barely know."

His hand comes up the back of my throat and he makes me look up at his hurricane-like gaze, his teeth gritted. "For me, you'll make an exception." He says lowly. "If you care about me even the slightest, you would."

He leans down and crashes onto my lips, his tongue thrusting into my mouth. I gasp at the sudden tiny metal pressing against my tongue.

He has a tongue piercing.

My fingertips press harder against the nape of his head, deepening the kiss.

It feels like I'm not supposed to do this. But it's not like it means anything. I mean, Ares is just screwing me cause I asked. He probably feels bad for me. I got all obsessive and vulnerable, telling him to fuck me instead of leaving me.

And he did.

It wouldn't matter if Dominik did the same. He was my first after all.

I don't stop Dominik from palming my ass, caressing and exploring, pulling up my dress, and feeling around my waist. "You're the most beautiful woman, I've ever laid my eyes on." He groans into my neck.
