INT. HOSPITAL- WAITING ROOM - LATE NIGHT/EARLY MORNING
Garret Tammie Morgan Tavon and Zhuri rush in right behind the paramedic's as they push Neal and Kent through the hospital doors.
KENT-(V.O) Every great dream begins with a dreamer. I use to dream that my mother would show up to one of my games to say she wasn't dead. And then she would take me away or sometimes she never left in the first place and her and my Dad stood in the crowd together watching and after the game we went for pizza afterwards. That meant more to me then any game I won as a kid. Now years later I've met her and she's nothing like I thought she would be and my Dad is everything I thought he was.
INT. WAITING ROOM - DAY
Garret stands eyeing every doctor that walks past. Zhuri sits next to Mekhi and Tavon is on the phone pacing back and forth. Landy sits across from them.
TAVON- She's dark skin and she had braids in her hair..... she's like 5'6.
ZHURI- she's 5"5.
TAVON- 5'5....I know but...okay.
Tavon hangs up the phone.
ZHURI-nothing.
TAVON-they haven't found any of them.
ZHURI- Kyle said they're downtown too and nothing.
Tavon sits down his right leg shaking. Zhuri tries to comfort him and he pulls.
TAVON- I need some space.
Tavon walks down the hall near a window. Zhuri sighs.
MEKHI- Dont trip we're all just fucked up right now.
Tammie enters.
TAMMIE-Neal is resting but he's okay.
GARRET-Good. and Kent?
TAMMIE-still in surgery.
Garret nods.
INT. HALLWAY - MOMENTS LATER
Landy approaches Tavon.
LANDY-Why are you being that way with Zhuri?
TAVON- Ma I have two best friends in hospital beds right now and another best friend that could be drowning somewhere....I don't even know if she knows how to swim.
LANDY-aren't they her best friends too.
Tavon shrugs. Landy looks at him.
LANDY-Boy use your words.
TAVON- kinda mad at her right now.
LANDY-and you want to do this right now?
TAVON- No...that's why I walked over here.
Landy brushes his face a little with his hand and shakes her head.
LANDY-you are so damn stubborn.
TAVON- at least I got one thing from him.
LANDY- and you see where that got him.
LJ rushes down the hall he hugs Landy and then turns to Tavon.
LJ- bro what the hell is going on?
TAVON-what are you doing here?
LJ- I seen the stuff with Neal and Kent on the news and then I saw Taylors parents down at the station looking for Taylor.
TAVON-why were you at the station?
LJ smiles.
LJ-wild night.
