In the silent night, amidst the dark,
Where shadows dance and thoughts embark,
People who can sleep, oh how they're blessed,
Their minds at ease, their hearts at rest.
I envy those who find slumber's embrace,
While I remain in this endless chase,
Counting the hours, lost in the deep,
Yearning for dreams, the sweet release.
Each night, my mind won't let me be,
Echoing noises, louder, free,
My heart races, my thoughts in flight,
Tomorrow's promise, another fight.
For those who sleep, it's a gift, a prize,
Living their lives under gentle skies,
Gym, work, college, their paths they tread,
While I wander, with nowhere to bed.
No house to call my own, no place to roam,
Just whispers to the stars, a silent poem,
Asking the universe for one more chance,
Or perhaps, to end this endless dance.
