My best friend ADHD

In the midnight's silent grace.

With my thoughts a restless chase.

My best friend, ADHD, in tow.

A tumultuous river, never slow.

At 1 am, my heart's wild flight.

Anxiety grips, in the dead of night.

2 o'clock whispers, a dreaded decree.

Tomorrow's weight, crushing me.

By 3 am, a storm of ideas arrive.

A thousand thoughts, a frenzied hive.

4 am tolls, appointments past.

Forgotten, lost, in shadows cast.

With the dawn's approach, at 5 am's door.

A desire to organize, to even the score.

Yet 6 am beckons, a weary plea.

Sleep's embrace, a sought decree.

Fear and distraction, constant kin.

Creativity's dance, a double-edged spin.

Sleep eludes, tiredness takes its hold.

Motivation wanes, in a story untold.

Lack of dopamine, norepinephrine's sting.

Each day's struggle, a symphony to sing.

My best friend, ADHD, a complex part.

In this journey of mine, both light and dark.
