Looking at all of his mates, minus Taehyung and Seokjin, around the room Hoseok couldn't help but feel like there was something... off. Something wrong. And clearly everyone in the room also felt the same if the emotions swirling around their link was anything to go by. While he couldn't feel it as strongly – barely at all for that matter – he could still pick up on it due to how strong they were and it had him on edge. Namjoon was sitting there at the head of the table in a way that made him look like he was the captain rather than their lovable jokester mate. His expression was tense, his dimples prominent as he sucked in his cheeks and pushed his brows together as he contemplated what he was going to say. Finally, with a deep sigh, Namjoon visibly slumped in his chair and his features softened as he ran both of his hands over his face just as his tentacles sought out the comfort of Yoongi and Jungkook who were on either side of him. "This isn't going to be an easy conversation but it's one that we need, and probably should have had earlier in the day, to do now in light of some things that have happened."

Hoseok gulped, his skin going pale as he jostled his leg sporadically from under the table at his seat. There could really only be one reason for Namjoon to phrase it like that and it made a lump of stone fall into the pit of his stomach. Though... he refrained to say a single word. Choosing to remain silent even as his heart beat skyrocketed in his chest.

This was it.

They were going to get rid of him and Jimin.

"Joon-ah I'll take it from here," Seeing their mate visibly troubled, Yoongi cleared his throat and turned his attention to him and Jungkook who were thoroughly confused. "I walked in on Seokjin choking Taehyung in Hoba's room."

"What..." The words tumbled from his lips before he could stop them. His entire body freezing entirely as he took in Yoongi's words. Unlike him though, who was in a state of shock. Jungkook seemed to freeze up in a completely different way. No, his body clenched in a way that meant anger. His lips formed into a straight line as his muscles bulged. His tentacles becoming ramrod straight where they hovered in the air. The suckers becoming engorged as ink started to come to the surface.

"I had no choice but to bring him to the calm room, but... he wasn't himself. I'm not sure what was wrong with Seokjin. I've never seen him this way. It was like he was possessed or in some weird trance. He wouldn't say a single word and didn't seem to be able to hear me, Taehyung, or Jimin out when he was doing what he was doing. Didn't even acknowledge the hand shaped bruise around Tae's neck." Jungkook made to get up then, his face filled with rage, but Namjoon forcefully sat him down. A hushed but strict 'listen' passing his lips before reluctantly the younger sat down. "I'm unsure what had transpired before the incident. But Jimin was defending Taehyung. So there's that." Yoongi's hands were clenched together but shaking from where they sat on the table and Hoseok was beginning to feel numb.

This was all his fault...

Before he could start to fester on the self-hatred that was beginning to bubble up inside of himself like a roaring volcano, Namjoon began to speak again. "This is why I wanted to gather everyone here. Taehyung and Jimin appear to be fine, they are sleeping next to each other in the infirmary – cuddling rather cutely I may add – but we need to discuss what happened with Jin." He took a deep breath through his nose before continuing. "As you know, Jin and I, we've known each other the longest. And while we haven't shared too much about our past, unfortunately today is a reminder of why we should have a lot sooner. I know you've all had a bet going on for a few years now on what type of Mere both of us are. And while you've had some good guesses, none of you have hit the mark."

"What does this have to do with this conversation?" Jungkook's voice was matter of fact and clipped, showing the anger bubbling away in his gut as he interrupted Namjoon without a problem. Normally their youngest mate hero worshipped the older. Always seeming to follow him around like a puppy. But with the news of Seokjin's mistake, none of that shy sweet guy was there. No, it was the Jungkook that they were used to seeing when they were in battle.
