Hope: Here. [Hope gives elexir to Rafael.]
Audrey: Just drink it. [Rafael drinks it.]
Everyone is looking at Rafael curiously.
Hope: You said you saw a monster.
Rafael: I did?
Hope: Yeah.
Rafael: I don't-I don't... I don't remember that.
Hope: Okay. Tell us what you do remember.
FLASHBACK-CAR-DAY
[Rafael and Landon are talking outisde of car. MG is sitting in car.]
Rafael: I know you think you're helping, but you're not. I mean, just look at him.
Landon: Just take it from somebody that's been kept in the dark his whole life. At least he knows the truth.
Hayley nodded at that.
Rafael: And sometimes the truth hurts. You know that better than anybody. Hey. His dad is religious. If Hector and Maria taught us anything, it's what?Religious people aren't too flexible about their beliefs.
"True." Agreed Audrey.
[MG calls out from car.]
MG: Hey. Raf's right. My dad's not gonna want a vampire in the family. It is what it is.
Landon: It is what it... Or maybe it's worse. Look, I took that from your parents' mailbox. [Landon shows MG a newspaper.]
Landon: Your dad became a prominent figure after he gave a sermon that went viral, a sermon about how he would give anything to have you back. It is one thing to cut you out of his life. It is another thing to use your memory to get votes.
"He doesn't know, does he?" Asked Elijah. Audrey and Hope shake their heads.
Rafael: (grunts) We can come back another time. [Rafael takes newspaper.]
Rafael: It's only a couple hours until moonrise...
Landon: We can do both. Your dad is giving another speech tonight. And-and it's on the way home.
Rafael: Lan, please, stop pushing.
"He is right. Landon is being too pushy." Said Davina.
MG: Landon, I don't know. if I...
Landon: Listen to me, I would give anything to ask my mom and dad why they gave me up. You actually have a chance to.
"He said he didn't want! Why are you forcing him? It's his own choice." Scrowled Hope.
"He just wants to help MG. So at least MG will have what he can't." Said Hayley.
FLASHBACK-CHURCH-DAY
Mr. Greasley: When my son used to get in trouble, he'd always say, "But, Dad, you're forgetting about all the good things I did today." [MG, Landon and Rafael enter emlty church, Where MG's dad is practicing speech.]
Mr.Greasley: After I lost him, everything in the world seemed bad. But I'm not going to let despair win. I am running for mayor because my son taught me a valuable lesson. Because I don't want us to forget all the good we still can do.
"Doesn't seem bad guy." Said Hayley.
"Looks can be deciving." Said Klaus.
Landon: What are you waiting for?
MG: For starters, I can't feel my legs, so...
Mr. Greasley: Someone there?
MG: If you're so concerned with... doing good, you might want to take the time to see your own son.
Mr. Grealsey: Milton? Is that you?
MG: Yeah. Obviously.
Mr.Greasley: Good Lord, my eyes must be playing tricks on me.
"He looks really happy." Smiled Caroline, hoping boy could fix his relationship with his father.
MG: It's me. Same son you're preaching about. Who's apparently gonna win all these elections for you. Who you haven't called in... almost a year.
Mr. Greasley: Lord, if this is a test, clear my eyes and let me see the truth.
MG: Pops. Don't you love me anymore?
Mr. Greasley: My boy. My beautiful boy. [Mg's dad hugs him.]
Mr. Greasley: I prayed and prayed. And the good Lord brought you back to me.
MG: Prayer's cool and all, but you could've just picked up the phone.
Mr. Greasley: (sniffles) I saw you on that terrible night. With my own two eyes, I saw you.
People sent him pity looks.
Mr. Greasley: Now you're here, risen. A miracle sent to me from our Lord in heaven.
PRESENT- SALVATORE SCHOOL- RAFAEL'S DORM DORM-DAY
Hope: Wait, wait, wait. So... you're saying that MG's dad didn't know he was a vampire?
Rafael: I'm saying that MG's dad thought that he was dead.
Audrey: Why would Mg's mom say such an obvious lie?
"Yeah, since neither Mg or his father knew about each other, lie was destined to come out. It's stupid." Said Audrey.
Rafael: I- i don't know... We didn't want to leave MG behind, but it was getting late. And we knew that I had to get back before I turned, and... [Rafael lets out shuddering exhale.]
Hope&Audrey: What?
Rafael: We didn't make it back on time.
People look worried.
FLASHBACK-FOREST-NIGHT
[Landon is chaining Rafael on tree.]
Landon: All good.
Rafael: You sure this is gonna work?
Landon: Oh, to be honest, bro, this is actually a first for me.But if you have a better idea, I'm all ears.
Rafael: A better plan would've been not leaving the school at all.
"Will his chains break?" Asked Freya.
Landon: Well, excuse me for wanting to help MG. Or you.
Rafael: And now we're both screwed. 'Cause, what, you-you couldn't find your parents, so you... you made him get answers from his? That's not right.
Many agreed with Rafael, while Hayley understood why Landon did it.
Landon: Answers that made his life better. [Rafael doubles over in pain. Clearly starting turning.]
Landon: What do I do? What do I do?
Rafael: You got to get out of here. Grab MG and steer clear of the woods until morning.
"Listen to him!" Said Hayley and Marcel.
Landon: No. There's no way. I'm gonna stay right here. We're gonna get through this together, like we always have. [Landon hears growling behind him and turns around.]
"What was that?" Asked worried Caroline.
Landon: What the hell was that?
Rafael: I don't know. [There is noise of someone or something running and growling.]
People become tense.
Rafael: Lan. Lan, look at me. You need to run.
Landon: Not without you. [Rafael's another bone breaks.]
Rafael: I said...
PRESENT- SALVATORE SCHOOL- RAFAEL'S DORM DORM-DAY
Rafael: (yells) Run!
"What happened there?" Asked Davina, now more worried.
Hope: Raf. Raf. [Rafael is panting. Audrey hands over elixir to Hope. Hope gives it to Rafael.]
Hope: Hey. Hey. Here. Here. Here, here, here, here. Drink this. Drink this. Drink this. [Rafael drinks and groans.]
Hope: Okay.... (panicking) Hey. What did you see? What did you see? What were you running from?
"You are overwhelming him." Saud Hayley, slightly worried.
Rafael: I don't know. I don't know!
Hope: Raf, whatever you saw is what made you like this. Did the monster hurt Landon? [Audrey looks at her stressed and worrried sister with concern.]
Rafael: (Whispering) I don't know.
Hope: Is Landon okay, Raf?! [Audrey places her hand on Hope's back.]
Mikaelsons look worried for Hope.
Rafael: I don't know, Hope. I don't know. I don't know.
Audrey: Do you remember where the woods were?
Rafael: I think so. Yeah, I remember.
Audrey: Good.
Hope: Okay. Okay. I'm gonna get one of the twins to siphon you out of here. We're gonna go find him. [Audrey watched Hope leave with worried expression. Then Audrey's phone made a noise. Audrey looked down and saw message from Uncle Step-brother🙄]
"Oh, so Kol gets funcle, Freya Aunt Rapunzel, Rebekah aunt Barbie, all of them with heart emoji's and i get uncle step-brother with an eyeroll emoji?!" Said offended and hurt Marcel.
"You should think about that before kidnapping and torturing your step sister slash niece's father for five damn years." Said Audrey.
"I said i'm sorry! Haven't you heard of saying forgive and forget?" Said Marcel.
"Forgive and forget?! I'm neither Jesus, nor do i have Alzheimer's." Said Audrey. Mikaelsons look displeased about Marcel and Audrey's fight, but they understand Audrey's pov and don't say anything.
[*Uncle Step-brother🙄: How is Hope? Did you find Landon?
Hope smiles at Marcel.
Audrey: Hope is as good as she can be in this situation and no, we haven't found him.
Uncle Step-brother🙄: Okay. Tell me when you do. We are all worried.
Audrey: I know and i'll.*]
PRESENT-FOREST-NIGHT
[Alaric and Kaleb get out of car and walk in the woods.]
Alaric: This is the place Hope talked about.
Kaleb: She happen to mention that arrangement you made with Mrs. Greasley, too, when she called?
Alaric: MG's mother enrolled him in the Salvatore School without his father knowing that he was still alive. She didn't think his dad could handle the fact that MG was a vampire. Our arrangement was to keep that a secret.
Kaleb: (Chuckles softly) Shady. Shadiest part being you saying yes.
"I love how Kaleb disapproves of Alaric's stupid decisions. I'm glad, i'm not the only one seeing that man's stupidity." Said Audrey.
Alaric: I didn't want to. But I didn't want to turn MG away, either. I mean, admittedly, it's a bit of a gray area.
Kaleb: No, it's not. Life is black and white.
"No, it's not." Said everyone together.
Alaric: You're a teenager, Kaleb. A smart one. Too smart, sometimes. But when you have been through what I've been through and seen what I have seen, you'll learn that life is rarely that simple.
Kaleb: Do you smell that?
Alaric: Okay, what is it?
Kaleb: Blood. [They follow the smell.]
Everyone starts getting worried again.
Alaric: MG?
Kaleb: MG.
Alaric: MG! [Kaleb and Alaric run to MG, who is laying on ground.]
"Mg!" Exclaimed concerned Caroline, who already became fond of boy. Others look somewhat worried, too.
Kaleb: MG. MG. Oh. Oh.
Alaric: It's okay.
Kaleb: Damn it.
Alaric: It's okay.
Kaleb: Oh, my God.
Alaric: All right, take it easy.
MG: Stay away from me, Dr. Saltzman. I can't control it. [Alaric helps MG sit up.]
"What is it? What happened?" Asked Stefan.
Alaric: Shh. It's okay. We're here. We're here. Just tell me what happened.
MG: There are demons all around me.
Kaleb: What?
MG: Beast horns and devil's tongues.
Kaleb: What the hell is wrong with him?
Alaric: He's delusional, which means only one thing. [Alaric raise MG's torn apart shirt's piece.]
Alaric: He's been bitten.
Kaleb: He's a vampire. We do the biting.
"Not with werewolf." Said Audrey.
Alaric: By a werewolf.
Kaleb: What? Rafael. He said he saw a monster. He is the damn monster. Oh, my God.
"Let's not go as far as to call kid monster for what he can't contril." Said Hayley.
Alaric: The infection's spreading to his heart. If he was bitten last night, he's got maybe an hour. Two, tops.
Kaleb: What? The cure. G-Give him the damn cure you were talking about.
Alaric: Hope and Audrey's blood are the cure. The blood of the tribrid. Let's just hope they can get here soon.
Kaleb: Just stay with us, MG. All right? We got you. We got you.
FOREST-NIGHT
Kaleb: Why aren't they picking up the phone?
Alaric: I don't know. They must've left the building, okay? And I have the school phone with me.
Kaleb: Okay, well, now would be the perfect time to add cellular privileges to the many things that need to change at the school.
MG: Don't say that. Pop, why do you... why do you got to say that?
Caroline looked sympathetic, knowing what if feels like to be rejected by dad.
Kaleb: Hey, hey. MG, stay with me. Stay with me, okay? Stay with me, man.
MG: I just want to go to sleep.
Kaleb: No, no, no, no. That's-that's not an option. Okay? So, talk-talk to me more about your pops. Just-just talk to me.
"He is good leader." Approved Marcel.
MG: He was really happy to see me. He didn't know I was there. And I didn't know how to tell him.
