Periods fucking sucked, especially at the end of the world. Emory woke gasping, clutching her sides from the extreme cramps that stabbed at her belly and back.

Her periods were horribly irregular, and after they left the farm, she hadn't had her period in months which she had been grateful for until now. Nausea wracked through her as she reached for the water bottle beside her bed. She greedily drank every last drop, swallowing advil with it.

Climbing out of bed, she made her way down the stairs. Her feet padded against the floor, walking directly into Ricks cell. She leaned over Judith's crib, gliding a finger across her chubby cheek as she slept.

"You slept in," Maggie said from behind her, startling her. She nodded with a sigh, trying to avoid the fact that her back felt like it had been kicked in.

"Finally got my period, the gift that keeps giving" she said making Maggie nod as they both walked out of the cell block and into the dining area where everyone was loading weapons.

She noticed Rick, Daryl and Hershel's absence. Realization dawned on her that the men had went to have a talk with the governor. Worry filled her at the thought of something happening to them, she didn't trust the evil man and nothing would change that.

"Carl, come here," Glenn said making the boy walk toward him. "You stash these at the loading dock. Alright?" He asked handing him a box of ammo to which Carl nodded.

"Beth, put more up on the catwalk. If anyone gets pinned down, we need to make sure that they have plenty of ammo. I'll go work on the cage outside," Glenn instructed, taking over for Rick.

"What we should be doing is loading some of this firepower in a truck and paying a visit to the Governor. We know where he is right now," Merle said, stopping Glenn.

Emory would stand ten toes down behind Rick and any decision he made, she knew that now but a good majority of her believed they should've just left the prison. Yes the prison had became home to them, a secure home but their lives weren't worth this fighting. Her thoughts went to Judith and Carl, just a little boy and baby.  She felt safe with Rick but none of them were invincible and she worried if this would lead to their inevitable demise.

"Are you suggesting that we just go in and kill him?" Glenn asked Merle. "Yeah, I am,".

"We told Rick and Daryl that we'd stay put," Michonne spoke, Emory internally smiled. Michonne was truly one of them, and her respect for Rick had grown considerably.

"I've changed my mind, sweetheart. Being on the sideline with my brother out there ain't sitting right with me," Merle said shaking his head, earning a sigh from Michonne.

"The three of them are right in the middle of it, no idea we're coming. They could get taken hostage or killed. A thousand things could go wrong," Glenn said making Emory wrap her arms around herself, fear creeping into every orifice of her body at the thought of her friends being killed.
