Kiera POV

I drank my iced tea by the bay window in my kitchen, smiling like a fool at the happiness swirling inside me. I had a moment of reprieve as my Alphas prepared a new room for us to stay in. We knew we couldn't return to the North until we removed Dietus, so we would remain here in the South for a while.

I had already told them I wanted to split our time evenly between both of our homes. Our son will know all of his past and all that he will one day rule over. I never thought I would agree to one Alpha to lead every part of the world, but now, I knew it was our duty. This world needed so much repair, and the brothers and I had the power to fix it all. There would be no slavery, abuse, or darkness in our future.

"You are actually alone?" Sebastian came to stand beside me as we watched out the window. Omegas tended the gardens while we heard Deltas shouting war cries in the distance. It was the way a pack peacefully ran.

"I'm sure it's only temporary." I smiled at him, noticing the clean shave and new clothes. "You look less homeless."

"Yeah," he looked over his clothes. "I think I forgot how to be human."

"Well, you're welcome to stay, Sebastian. I owe you my life, even if you were a little rude about it." I gave him a sideway glance, and he chuckled at me.

"I can be a bit rough around the edges. It's been years since I've known kindness. I may have forgotten what it was like." The way he looked at me, his blue eyes sparkling to me, seemed so familiar.

"Are you sure we haven't met before?" I squinted my eyes at him, and he looked away sadly. There was something he was hiding.

"We don't know each other, Kiera. I wanted to thank you for your hospitality, but I must be leaving soon." He cleared his throat. I heard the pain in his voice, and I didn't understand what had him so riddled with guilt and regret.

"That wasn't my question." I turned to face him completely. My eyes scanned over his large frame. He was close to seven feet tall and still built with strong bones in his old age. I could see scars peeking out from his shirt sleeve, and his hair was salt and pepper that covered his head. "Have we met before?" I asked again, Athena rising in my tone to demand a response.

"Yes, Kiera." His voice cracked as his eyes remained glued to the floor. "It was a long time ago, a different life. I'm not that man anymore, and you aren't that little girl."

"I don't understand, Sebastian. Please tell me the truth. So much of my past is blank to me. I only recently discovered I had loving parents. My whole life, I thought I was abandoned, unloved, and unwanted. Then, my dreams showed me the love Anastasia gave me, as well as the warmth my parents showered me with. Did you know them? Do you know what pack I was born to?" My eyes welled with tears as so many questions flooded my brain.

"Your dreams?" He finally looked at me, concern etched on his face.

"I think I can walk through time. I have only recently been trying to piece my dreams together, but I have no control over them. You know..." I smiled brightly at him. "My son is named Sebastian. I never knew why until I met you."

"You named your son after me?" The old man with rough and ragged edges cried before me. I watched the tears flow from his eyes, feeling sad this man felt so unworthy. "Why would you do that, darling?" His voice was filled with disbelief that anyone could hold such regard for him.

"Because..." I paused a moment, looking more deeply into his eyes. A flash of my father holding me tightly in his arms crossed my mind, and I began crying. "Because you're my father." I choked out the words, unable to believe he was right here this whole time. "How?" My hand covered my mouth as tears blurred my vision.
