Kiera POV

"Seriously!" I shouted at Dr. Hazel. I was happy he was here, especially since he knew my history, but I was tired of everyone treating me like glass.

"It's just a suggestion." Dr. Hazel looked at me with worry in his eyes. He knew that nothing he said would appease either of us.

"Cherie, we will have our entire life to take you to bed. For now, we need to be safe."

"Safe! You damn near strong-armed the doctor to say sex was off limits, as well as training, walking, dressing, bathing, or anything else that requires me to move. I'm not some cripple."

"Luna's mental health is equally as important as her physical, Alpha. She is able to care for herself, even with some light training. She just needs to take it slow and listen to her body." The doctor tried reasoning with my overbearing mate.

"No!" Chase shook his head. "You said her womb is deteriorating then magically mending together. She could miscarry or even need surgery if she bleeds out too much. We can't risk that. She needs to be on bed rest, and I think you would agree with me." Chase growled into the doctor's eyes, and he began shaking.

"Yes, of course, Alpha." Dr. Hazel took a hard gulp of fear.

"You're ridiculous. I know my body, and I will protect my son better than any of you. He is growing inside of me, not you!" I grabbed my clothes and stormed out of the room wearing just a scrub.

"Hey! Kiera!" Chase yelled after me, but I ignored him.

The second I turned towards our old bedroom, I ran right into my father.

"Darling, what is wrong?" He came right to me, and I practically collapsed into his arms crying.

"I hate my mates! They are overbearing assholes that think I'm some weak child." I whined.

"That's not true." I heard Chase say. I peered out from my father's chest, and he had his hands raised.

"What is going on here?" River growled, moving to me, but Chase grabbed his arm.

"Let her calm down first. Athena is teetering on explosive." He warned him. River looked at me, and I looked like a scared child crying in my father's arms, but they knew I was so much more than that.

"Why is our mate crying?" Drake growled as he stepped next to Chase.

"The doctor thinks it's best for Kiera to remain on bed rest. She is upset about the restrictions."

I stepped from my father, staring them down. "You think that is best! Dr. Hazel only said I need to be careful and to take it slow. I need to listen to my body, not any of you. I won't be locked in some bedroom until I give birth. Do you understand me!" I demanded.

"Why would Chase lie?" River asked me. "What did he say was wrong with her?" Both brothers turned to Chase, and Athena let out a vicious growl. These assholes will learn not to ignore me.

"Her womb is breaking down. She should have miscarried by now, but once it gets to that point, it mends back together."

"Oh, Kiera," River turned to me. "I'm sorry. We need to get you in bed. We can have omegas tend to anything my brothers and I can't do ourselves." The grumpy Alpha turned instantly into a concerned mate. It was endearing but I wasn't in the mood right now.

I screamed as a growl roared out of me. I was going to eat these Alphas alive.

My father's hand came to my back. "Calm down, darling. You know you have idiots for mates, but nothing in this world can stop my baby girl." He looked into my eyes, and his warmth made me smile.
